Do you have any suggestions for a good image hosting site?
Lost marbles and lost images....
After almost twenty-something years, my web hosting site, Walagata.com, seems no longer available (or it is having technical difficulties, but I think not). I will be looking for a new site. In the meantime, I apologize for all the broken image links—they are so untidy.

Hi Drifa: Have you found something to replace it? You could use perhaps Imgur, or Tumblr? I am myself on IMGBB, but I am not thrilled over it. I used Photobucket in the past, until they they wanted only business subscriptions and no longer just members. Succes in finding a replacement!

@Drifa, I don't know about image hosting - sorry. But I thought this might be the place to talk riddles. Am I right that you have two outstanding? How about some hints (only hints) so we can pick things up? Just to explain, I'm taking a break from my intense Tolkien research and need some plaza magic to lift up my spirits. Your riddles are my first port of call.
Thank you!
Thank you!

@Drifa I'm using Imgur, sort of okay. As long as they don't pull such tricks as Photobucket.
@Chrysophylax Dives I'm no good at riddles, but my favourite is "Thunder rolls between two hills"

That sounds like a genuine riddle. Unfortunately, on thinking about it the only thing that comes to my mind - and here I try out some Latvian for the first time ever - is pirdiens, pirst.Pele Alarion wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 9:30 am @Chrysophylax Dives I'm no good at riddles, but my favourite is "Thunder rolls between two hills"![]()

Also, I still don't dare attempt anything at riddle threads because I'm not too smart in finding answers.

I've used (still use) Imgur, but they are making it harder and harder to upload and share photos. Still works, just not as easy at it used to be. Also, if people are using certain VPN services, imgur will block the images to them. I tried IMGBB, but too many times the images hosted will come up as 'service unavailable'. Recently I started using File Garden and so far it's been great. It's a no-frills, minimalist, simply laid out file host that seems to upload quickly, and displays its hosted files quickly. I keep wondering what the 'catch' is.Drifa wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 9:54 am After almost twenty-something years, my web hosting site, Walagata.com, seems no longer available (or it is having technical difficulties, but I think not). Thanks for the responses. The site is still active. I attempted to log into it for two days, but when I did, it would send me to a page that said your domain had expired - the first time I had seen such a message. So, I sent a few emails to the support team asking what was happening. After all the years of using the site, I got a response, which was another first. They claimed that everything seemed to be running normally. Yet, I suspect that they renewed their domain.
I will consider your suggestions. Although I've had issues with Walagata before, I like the site, so I'll put up with it for now.
Thanks again!
