Wait, is this Aragorn, who is metaphorically referred to as gold by the famous poem line "All that is gold does not glitter"?

is this Aragorn?

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost”

Edit: simul with Ducky.

14. Possibly he does? It has naught to do with the clue though.
15. Yes, he is one of the Noldor.

As this is my first time being on this end of the game, I am afraid I might have gone for too complicated a clue. Although, I think there have been some good questions and boromir88 had a good line of thinking in his guess. If necessary I will give another (hopefully better) clue tomorrow.

Nah, I wouldn't worry too much @Balfur . Although I won't stop you if you want to give an easier clue. :smiley8: But, you may have done so with saying my guess had a good line of thinking. Maybe it's a red-herring, but my next guess will be...

Maglor? His name in quenya, Makalaure, translates to gold-cleaver.
A Loquacious Loreman.

I thought that might give it away, but hey...

You are indeed a Loquacious Loreman @Boromir88 for it indeed is Maglor. Far out the most sympathetic and loveable of the Sons of Feanor, in my humble opinion. The next clue would've been fall, for the Fall of the Noldor which he composed. Anyway, the floor is yours. This has been an exciting day :smiley8:

8. No way to answer for sure, but possibly. I say possibly based on association :P
9. Yes they are alive same time as Denethor
10. Yes they are mentioned outside the Lord of the Rings appendices

@Lailorn definitely on the right track, but it is not the Mouth of Sauron. ;)

12. Yes, this person is mentioned in the Fellowship of the Ring.
13. No, I'd say from the description they are more fair than an orc

Which means I'll amend my answer to 8, and say they probably would not have to spend more than the average person at the dentist.

Not the Witch-king, nor the squint-eyed southerner.
