A point of clarification I think is important here: in terms of Dagorlad, I'm referring specifically to the location. As in, the desolate plain outside the Ephel Duath. This person did not die in that location.

Where am I?

I had to do some digging on the Battle of Dagorlad situation, hence the clarification. Gil-galad died during the Siege of Barad-dur, which immediately followed the Battle of Dagorlad and lasted at least 7 years. But depending on your interpretation, the Battle of Dagorlad and the Siege of Barad-dur can be seen as the same conflict, or they can be viewed separately. Adopting a more narrow view of Dagorlad as location and not specifically the Battle of Dagorlad allowed for more specificity, since we know for certain that Gil-galad did not die in the location. It was a tricky question to answer, I wish I had had a better way to answer so as not to mislead, I apologize!
