To those not already aware, Imgur is no longer available in the UK, so our UK-based plazaites may find that images used for roleplay, in sigs etc that were hosted on Imgur are now replaced by a large text saying that they’re not available. Sorry - there is nothing we can do in this regard save to recommend using other image hosters!

Thank you for making this public notice, @Silky Gooseness :winkkiss:

For anyone who notices a change in some of the images I have used for long time characters, I do apologise for any confusion going forward. I have a new image host now to post icons on the plaza, but I can not even access my imgur account or see any of my original icons in my own posts any more. So trying to replicate/rehost them in future images is a work in progress and there may therefore be some small amendments and delays accordingly.

Ah that sucks, I don't know how that is in Holland. I am using IMGBB at the moment. It is not everything, but it hosts at least my pictures online for free.
Just call me Aiks or Aikári. Notify is off.
Find me stuff in Gondolin.
And let us embark to Valinor!

Imgur has been making itself harder and harder to use over the years. Used to be able to organise your albums and move pictures around from one to another. Can't do that anymore so I have dozens of random albums that get created whenever I upload stuff. They then started blocking my VPN so I can only use it or see hosted photos when I'm not using VPN. Now they are geoblocking some countries.

I too have began using IMGBB, but they are intermittently unreliable at best. I started using FileGarden, which seems stable and reasonable easy to use. I just cant figure out how they provide what they provide as well as they do for free. I looked for the catch but can't seem to find how they generate any revenue, so I suspect they will crash and burn at some point.

Is that why we still have the Christmas lights up at the end of January? I have noted the upper left graphic not loading in some of the forums.

Did you give Filegarden a look? I have been using them for character images both here and elsewhere and they seem to load quite quickly.

No, Hanasian, I haven't put any pics on here for a while, and decorations are done by Narv. I'll poke him about changing it back to the usual.
But I'll explore Filegarden and see if I can use it for my char pics and such; haven't been using any since being aware that some people might not see them.

Hmmm, at first glance I thought my images from COVID times had held up pretty well, but as I dig a little deeper I'm finding broken-ish (seems to depend on my browser) IMGBB links. A bummer! Trying out Filegarden in the Cottage for now and it's very nice to use, so thank you for the rec @Hanasian. Hopefully it's not too good to be true in the long run.

Edit: Hi @Rivvy Elf!
