HIP HOP, THE HIPPIED

Welcome all to our Spring Egg Hunt Thread!

In thirty forty-two threads, the Easter Dwarf has laid an egg. (You would think it would be the Goose, but it is not.) Your challenge is to find these eggs!

To successfully mark the egg as found, make a post in the thread where you found it! This can be as simple as posting that you have found the egg, or a whole post in line with the thread.

Then you must post in THIS thread, with a link to the post where the egg is! You can get the exact link to the post the egg is in, by clicking on the date. (Don’t just give us the author date and time, as this will be variable depending on your location.)

The victor will be the one to find the most eggs for the first time!
There will also be a prize for whoever posts in the most eggy threads!

I do not have a picture of the egg here… but I am sure you will recognise it, as it has a symbol on it you will all know.

Have fun!

Here is an egg.

And this is what an egg looks like (nice image, btw, Dwarf):

I am not sure the small and sluggish bunch of heroes who are the active members of the plaza atm are going to find 42 eggs. Someone needs to call up @Fuin Elda, egg-hunter par excellence.

I doubt all other fortyone Tolkien eggs will be found, Chrys' I have seen only. Could I ask for a hint where all others might be located? :googly: And hopefully hidden in posts made this year (2025).

They are not hard to find, Aiks. I am sure you will come across an egg sooner or later. Take heart!

Drifa: I was joking around a bit with the hint.

But more seriously I would suggest a bit of a limit in what posts they are loaded up, before a certain quite spacious year date. A bit of looking ended up the last page of the newbie thread. Which is for me fine and acceptable to to put up a try to find them, without too much frustration. But if you have to search deeper in threads, such as this one on page three in Bird Nerds in total of five pages, then the fun is quickly over for me. The newbie thread alone is over twenty pages long, one doesn't go through all twenty of them. Too much scrolling and mouse clicks are bad for the joints in the fingers and hands. But my definition of 'not hard to find' are posts not older than this Easter and about the year before, so all dated 2024 and 2025. There is plenty of content posted within these years.

An online search is fun if it is about 2 - 4 mouse clicks. More it is just like 'work'.

Just my two cents on the matter. I don't want to discourage others to try their luck on finding a few blue Tolkien eggs in many clicks or scrolls as they want.

But you found some! Think of it as a trip down memory lane.

Thanks for the suggestions! Maybe next time! :smooch:
