Dear Plaza Members,

@Drífa, @Pele Alarion and I have been discussing matters, such how to get people more engaged with roleplay whilst retaining a deep and meaningful link to the works of Tolkien. It struck us that whilst people love to identify with cats, there’s also a rich body of writing that Tolkien produced about cats - the princedom of Tevildo, so vividly described in Books of Lost Tales, and the fabled Cats of Queen Berúthiel; yet people seldom (though not, I hasten to add, never) spend a good deal of time *being* a cat on plaza.

And so, today, we invite you to be a cat. Relax, have some cream and fish and scritches; roll about; sleep for 23 hours a day; then claw a human’s face. What could be better?
