@Lail Ama is a bit hasty (pun intended ), so she is likely to forget that she should ask permision from the marshals... so if the marshals want to give her a little reprimand for not asking ... then again, Ama has probably understood
@Gwai (was it, I forgot, and I am on mobile...) instruction to also be a permission to deal with the delivery as she sees fit. But that doesn't mean the marshals see it that way

Nobody is being "untrue" to Rohan by picking a different icon that was "assigned" a certain kingdom. The only reason we even assigned them to a kingdom in the first place was to be able to have a few games in each and it was better to keep them thematically in a certain kingdom, rather than willy nilly scattered around. You are all still Rohirrim, you are just wearing a costume, you are NOT joining that kingdom that icon is assigned to as NO icons are kingdom based, they are all free-for-all. Which is also why they arent tied to specific ranks ;)

@Winddancer I think we’re good for now, although you’re more than welcome to come in and help out the old mute woman if you like. Beda kind of dumped a crying colicky baby on her and ran.

At some point in the not too distant future Beda will be back to reclaim Léo, see to her mother’s burial, and to have her dead brother prepared for burial. I think we’ll definitely need some help at that time if no one else is around.

Just popping in here to say I might be even more scarce over the next week or so. We were supposed to be getting our broadband upgraded to fibre today and it’s somehow been disconnected altogether and it turns out we don’t actually have a working phone line (how we’ve managed to have a working phone and internet for 6 years without one is a mystery- answer on a postcard please). I can get on using my phone but it’s not ideal. Hopefully it will be fixed sooner rather than later. Will try to keep up as best as I can!

And that was a record long view for much of the time... but food was good and company was good, so who cares?! Rather than joining the list of people apologising for not being around as much as they'd like, I'm going to just say that life has picked up pace again and it isn't as easy to find the time and energy as it was when I was furloughed. I'm still finding the time to post a couple of times a week and will do my best to keep up with things then, however sometimes I may just need a night off to recover and mull over interesting things to put in my posts.

I imagine that everyone else is probably feeling a slowing of the pace as the adrenaline rush of NuPlaza fades and RL sets back in, but I trust that we can all keep telling our mutual stories together, albeit at a less intense pace. I for one am more than happy to wait for replies from my favourite RPers. If you are worried that you are keeping me waiting for anything, please don't be, and I have faith people won't mind if it takes me a few days or a week or so to come back to them myself.

One thing I suspect is now that the plaza is back, it is here to stay, but I'd prefer to treat this like a marathon and not a sprint in the hopes we can avoid burnout and still be here sharing stories in months and years to come.

This means a lot to me. Lately I've been stressed over work, looking for more work, and just the general feeling of "blea" that comes from seven months of pandemic life. All of this has greatly affected my plaza activity and even though I want to be posting more frequently, sometimes the brain just says "no".

It looks like NuPlaza is here to stay and I am extremely happy about that. I love this community and certainly don't want any of us to get burnt out form posting. I genuinely don't mind waiting for posts from people and I hope you're ok with me being a bit slow to reply sometimes. Though, if it's been more than a few days, feel free to tag me somewhere to remind me.

I also could not agree more! I've been trying to be careful not to burn myself out and I absolutely don't want any of you lovely people to, either! I’m glad my musings have put people’s minds at ease. I feel like a lot of people have been afraid the plaza will disappear again so they need to cherish it now. Or like me, afraid that I won’t be able to stay involved long-term if I can only be here now and then, so I’ve been trying to keep up a fast paced posting that isn’t necessarily sustainable.

For my part, it’s been good for the soul to get this place back and I want to find a way to stay involved long term without it overtaxing me, and I just wanted to try and reassure other people that such an approach was ok.

But NuPlaza is far down on the list of priorities and a fun time project. And now my computer is acting up... but I will figure it out (or steal my hubby's mouse).
