1. What’s one skill you wish you had but don’t currently possess? Why? I wish I could speak another language! I know some Spanish but could not actually converse with someone. Communication is so important and there have been times I wished I spoke someone's native language and/or sign language.

2. What’s one skill you *do* have of which you are particularly proud? Why? I'm pretty proud of playing the violin. I tend to dabble and try a lot of hobbies and things and it is the one thing I've managed to really stick with. It was important to me growing up and as an adult, its been nice to meet people through playing.

3. Tell me about your favorite place to eat out (in normal times, of course) I have favorite restaurants everywhere I've lived its impossible to pick just one but I will say the Indian restaurant where I live now. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, the food is delicious and they have an AWESOME buffet.

1. What’s one skill you wish you had but don’t currently possess? Why? Juggling. I've just never put sufficient work into learning, and its one of those skills that tends to come in very handy as a performer, particularly as someone who does a lot of work in both stage combat and physical comedy.
2. What’s one skill you *do* have of which you are particularly proud? Why? My extensive experience and expertise in stage combat, but in particular, my skill at smallsword. It is a beautiful, finicky, demanding, exacting weapon, and I'm very good at it.
3. Tell me about your favorite place to eat out (in normal times, of course) I don't go sit down much to eat. But the place I went most often when I was working at the theaters downtown in the before times was a Japanese restaurant that never seemed to be busy, but never had a problem staying in business. They had the best miso soup and hot tea, the fastest service, everything was absolutely delicious, and they didn't mind us coming in in sweaty stagehand gear.

1. What’s one skill you wish you had but don’t currently possess? Why? I also wish I could speak another language. Other than learning the Cyrillic alphabet, the best I can do is say "Two beers please" in about 6 languages.
2. What’s one skill you *do* have of which you are particularly proud? Why? I'm quite proud of my ability to fire twirl. Though I wouldn't say I'm a pro at it, it's been a while since I set my person on fire.
3. Tell me about your favourite place to eat out (in normal times, of course) I love Southern American comfort food, and there's a great craft beer bar in my city that does fried chicken, mac n cheese, croquettes, all the tasty and unhealthy stuff that makes you feel like you need to run home. But mostly we like to stay in. My husband loves cooking and we have had serious iso-cooking wins with Dan dan noodles and soup dumplings.

1. What’s one skill you wish you had but don’t currently possess? Why? I wish I could bake sourdough bread from scratch, mostly because of @Moriel's and @Karis Ziranphel's photos (and other Discord bakers)! Also they don't seem to sell it at all where I'm at.
2. What’s one skill you *do* have of which you are particularly proud? Why? I can sharpen chisels and small knives by hand, and regularly do. It was a frustrating learning process but I think I've managed to reach "acceptable," or maybe just "not totally awful at this".
3. Tell me about your favourite place to eat out (in normal times, of course). When I went to visit my parents last time they had found this amazing family owned Greek place. We must have gone there every other day for the three weeks I was around. I love Greek food and while I'm not usually super chatty in restaurants it was easy to make friends with these guys. I wish I could have packed up the whole place and brought it back with me.

1. What’s one skill you wish you had but don’t currently possess? Why? To be able to draw, I would love to be able to draw my characters and the stuff they get into. Always been an itch I never could scratch
2. What’s one skill you *do* have of which you are particularly proud? Why? My evil stare.. hey it takes a lot of practice to get it perfected!
3. Tell me about your favorite place to eat out (in normal times, of course) Im a simple gi.. dragon, give me a chicken and cheese burger from KFC and I am happy

1. What’s one skill you wish you had but don’t currently possess? Why? Oh there's definitely more than one. I wish I could draw and I wish I could play an instrument (probably piano, guitar or drums), both for the same reason of wishing I could bring things from my imagination to life. The other one is to learn new languages, both for practical purposes and to help uncover the beauty of linguistics.
2. What’s one skill you *do* have of which you are particularly proud? Why? I'm really good at drinking. But nah, for real skills, well I am a great judge of character and excellent at reading body language. It's something I've put effort into studying, although it's also just an instinct I've always had. It helps that I haven't always been the most trusting person, so I tend to look further into people's words or actions.
3. Tell me about your favorite place to eat out (in normal times, of course) There is a terrific Thai restaurant near here. Most people I speak to about it say it's the best Thai food they've ever had. The flavours are incredible and the meal sizes are huge (so there's always extra to take home for lunch the next day). They were right up the road from us, so we used to go at least once a fortnight. But they outgrew themselves so they moved further away to a bigger venue, so now we only get to eat there every couple of months or so.

1. What’s one skill you wish you had but don’t currently possess? Why? Hmm. I'd say to make people laugh. I'm not a stick in the mud, but I mean like Robin Williams or George Carlin level of comedy. That ability just to be able to immediately brighten up an entire room with laughter.
2. What’s one skill you *do* have of which you are particularly proud? Why?
I've always been a great orator and enjoy public speaking. I've done quite a few speeches for groups with good causes I care about. Heard most of my life I have a voice for radio, which I always walk into the trap of people saying "You do...and the face for radio too."
3. Tell me about your favorite place to eat out (in normal times, of course) For breakfast places, there's a small town family restaurant called "C's Waffles." I've never had a bad meal or bad customer service there. But I'd have to put my absolute favorite place to eat..."Melt." It's a "gourmet" grilled cheese sandwich place, where they have like 25 different massive grilled cheese sandwiches. It was on "Man vs. Food" because they have a 5 lb sandwich with 22 different cheese. That's something I would never get. I like cheese and all, but the sandwich has 3.5lbs of cheese :googly:

1. What’s one skill you wish you had but don’t currently possess? Why? I wish I was better in the garden. I've always loved it, but I've not got a green thumb so much as a yellow one. Sometimes that's close enough. Sometimes... not so much.

2. What’s one skill you *do* have of which you are particularly proud? Why? I am stupidly good at in-person icebreakers. I blame growing up doing theatre all the time -- I'm just really solid at starting conversations / friendships with people I've just met / making people comfortable. I also worked with kids for a while, and that was very helpful. Unfortunately none of this translates to Zoom / online, so the last few months have been a bit of a ringer.

3. Tell me about your favorite place to eat out (in normal times, of course) There's this greasy tex-mex place that I grew up going to every Sunday after Church. Whenever I'm in my hometown I stop by -- it's just so good, and I've got so many memories there. It's gross, but it's home.

1. What’s one skill you wish you had but don’t currently possess? Why?

I wish I could swim. The reasons for why are lifesavingly obvious.

2. What’s one skill you *do* have of which you are particularly proud?

Huh. I’m sort of a jack of all trades but master of none. I’m just moderately good at learning other languages, picking up musical instruments, and art, but I’m not good enough to compete with actually good people and say I’m proud of it? I guess I’m particularly proud of my ability to touch type whilst staring dead into someone’s eyes and speaking about something else at the same time, mostly because it really freaks people out in meetings.

3. Tell me about your favorite place to eat out (in normal times, of course)

It’s this little family owned Italian restaurant and all the waiters know you and remember your orders even if you only go 3 times a year and are somehow also either stunningly attractive or incredibly maternal/fraternal and ugh it’s just the best

Inspired by a convo with @Vampire Bob the other day, let's go with a theme! Guilty pleasures (because life is hard right now.)

1. Food - no matter how bad it is for you (or even if it's good for you!), what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it?

2. Drink - same as above! (Does not have to be alcoholic.)

3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others?

1. Food - no matter how bad it is for you (or even if it's good for you!), what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it? Chocolate (even though that they now say that chocolate is good for you), since I would rather eat bad foods than good foods (though I'm eating better than I was, but I'm still not up to Mom's standards)

2. Drink - same as above! I don't drink alcohol, but I do enjoy a Cafe au lait (or milk coffee, since it's made with milk instead of water, but because of my lactose intolerance, I have to use lactose free milk) that my grandmother introduced to me (probably at a young age, since I can't remember how long I've been drinking it. I used to dunk Arrowroot cookies into it until they almost broke off, since I liked the softness and warmth of them, but haven't done this in years)

3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others? Jurassic Park/World, since I keep going back to it (not that I ever got over it, I just take breaks when I'm busy with other fandoms). I ended up binge watching Camp Cretaceous twice; once on my phone and the other on my laptop (it looked better on the latter, since bigger screen and all that). I just recently bought a film guide to Kauai (where many of the Jurassic Park/World movies were filmed). Should I stick to my original plan to relocate to Hawaii instead of Italy (when the pandemic is over of course, and once Trump is out of office), since the Hawaiian islands wouldn't exist without volcanism (and neither would Isla Nublar or the Five Deaths; Isla Sorna being one of them, which is about 87 miles southwest of Isla Nublar).:headbang:

@Lady of Shadow I did not mean drink solely in the alcoholic term. Anything *you* like to drink and indulge in, regardless of alcohol content. I'll edit my post to clarify though.

1. Food - what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it? Chinese food - satay is my weakness.

2. Drink - ditto. I never overindulge in any drink, but I do swing between hot vimto and mocha for favourites.

3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others? I watch a few TV shows repeatedly with a few months break in between (Stargate Atlantis, Hannibal, Steven Spielberg's Taken, The Magnificent Seven, Chuck seasons 1-2, White Collar) ... Movies: Mamma Mia 1&2, Fast & Furious 1,2,4,5,6,7, Star Trek reboots, MCU with Bucky or Loki in ... there are certain stories/character types I am drawn to. Also, pretty faces.
The Wood-elves lingered in the twilight of our Sun and Moon, but loved best the stars.

1. Food - no matter how bad it is for you (or even if it's good for you!), what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it? I was only going to say KFC, but then I noticed @Lirimaer say Chinese food, which reminded me that I am the same with that too.

2. Drink - same as above! (Does not have to be alcoholic.) Beer. And energy drinks. Which sounds really bad.

3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others? Well there's the obvious; Tolkien books and PJ movies. Then there's Dragonball/Z/Super, which never gets old for me. And Star Wars, the other love of my life. As for music there are certain metal albums which I have played many, many times over the years to the annoyance of my partner.

Create a line of deodorant or perfume based off of a Tolkien character. I actually have one that I think Thranduil/Mirkwood elves would wear... it's currently called Horned God and is Woodlands/Oak, sandlewood, and honey. It smells hella good. No idea what I'd rename it.

What one thing from the Old Plaza would you like to see here, that hasn't been done yet? The Library, it was my baby on old plaza and as a mod of it I basically revamped 1/3 of the pages that were lost before I became the librarian and then I revamped them again as the librarian. Soooo I totally did the latter on old plaza (not directly to him but he was the first response) and @Elenhir descended on me and it was one of my first posts on plaza. I did not return to Lore for over 4 years because of him and only when halfir promised he wouldn't let him eat me and I think I was an admin by then too... Now I would just laugh in their face because I'm not a terrified 15 year old but an old cynical tattoo artist that doesn't give a flying flip and now understands exactly what a simile is.

3. Insert your favorite Plaza emoji here: :bounce:

3. Why did you not (or would not, if you missed the last go) answer 'horror' as Frost wanted? Be brutal; we can change that disappointment to anger. 1. Tell me about an excellent food you ate and why it was excellent. So I made a chocolate Kahlua cheesecake. With homemade chocolate ganache and raspberry syrup That should tell you how excellent it was and why. (Also the fact people fight to get my recipes should explain the why)
2. What's your favorite obscure fun fact to share about a subject you love? If you go deeper than 2 mm when tattooing you blow out your lines because you hit the fatty tissues of the dermal layers and these are shaped more like rectangles rather than tight circles so the colour blurs out into the fat tissue of the entire cell rather than staying nice and tight.
3. What's the worst book you ever managed to read cover to cover? HP the Philosphers Stone. HIS FEET WERE LIKE BABY PORPOISES .... HONESTLY what kind of trash uses baby propoises as a simile for feet?

Yes. Takes me longer to post in them so keeps me entertained for longer.
Why do you think my shops in the Gondor Market and the Rohan Market hasn't had a single visitor? Because I haven't been there yet. and probably by this point people have visited but I'll still probably show up eventually. That said small population of actually posting people is spread out, some are almost exclusively Lore (though I've summoned Elenhir here with my tag I'm sure temporarily)
Do you prefer serious pubs or silly pubs? Silly. Serious pubs there are only so many things you can do that it gets boring pretty fast.

1. What sort of nonfiction do you/would read? Science generally space based though Ships and building things.
2. What's the longest post you've made on NuPlaza? This one.
3. Structured RPGs vs Free RPs, which do you prefer and why? Structured, or vaguely structured Free RPs as an end goal is nice and you tend to get more interactions.

1. What is your plaza character's (or characters') true alignment? Chaotic good leaning to CN
2. How many glasses of Dorwinion wine could you drink before you fell asleep? 1 sip. I'm allergic to wine I react like I've drunk a bottle of tequila (which I HAVE done and it had less effect than wine)

2. What has been the funniest thing you have participated in/read on the plaza?
The attempt at the foo revival on Old Plaza after Imladris went too far serious

3. Which Middle-Earth location you would compare your real-life location to, and why? ATM? Isengard. I'm in a city that honestly has been the murder capital of Canada more than once for years at a time. Yesterday I was in the Shire/Rivendell. rolling green hills with good tilled earth, tucked between mountains (really short ones OKAY) and there is actually a Rivendell a few hours away from it that's a cross country skiing destination in a ravine

1. When you were a kid, what job did you want to do when you grew up? I never had one fixed thing - too many ideas. Astronaut, detective, writer, ballet dancer. To name a few.
2. Do you prefer board games or video games? What's your favourite board game/video game? Haven't played many video games; definitely enjoy board games, particularly strategy ones. Risk is great.
3. If you had to become a supernatural being for the rest of your life/existence, what would you choose to be? Do elves qualify as supernatural? Then an elf, please.

1. What’s your least favourite household chore, and how do you get around doing it (or do you?)? Either dishes or taking out the garbage. The trick is to volunteer to do the cooking (and to be good at it), and then other people feel guilty and do the dishes. Which is a great system as far as I am concerned.
2. If you got to pick an animal to come back as in your next life, what would it be? Let's say a wolf. Or an owl. It would be nice to have wings.
3. What’s the first thing you do if you won the lottery? (First fun thing, I mean!) Probably order myself a hard copy of the unabridged Oxford English Dictionary. Or book myself flying lessons (see below).

1. What’s one skill you wish you had but don’t currently possess? Why? I have wanted to get my pilot's license for a very long time. It's definitely on the list as soon as I am done education/have a job that will permit me to have the money.
2. What’s one skill you *do* have of which you are particularly proud? Why? This isn't so much a singular skill, but I am really good at making things. Whether that be sewing/crochet/crafts or electrical wiring or construction or whatever - the day a theatre production needs item X on a budget of basically nothing, I will manage to produce X. Even if that means building a 1950s style radio from scratch. Or making a 'brain' that the actors can tear apart and throw all over the stage. Or wiring LED tape into the entire set.
3. Tell me about your favorite place to eat out (in normal times, of course) For cafe/lunch stuff - Taylor's in Oxford. For fancier meals, any nice seafood restaurant.

1. Food - no matter how bad it is for you (or even if it's good for you!), what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it? I do not eat small amounts of popcorn. I will make popcorn and then eat the entire bowl.
2. Drink - same as above! (Does not have to be alcoholic.) Don't drink much alcohol; but will cheerfully drink large amounts of cran-raspberry juice when I can get it.
3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others? The Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion, obviously, what kind of question is this?
She/her. Almarëa - Rivendell / Jaena - Lone Lands (T.A.) and Gondor (F.A.) / Layna - Mordor

Wow I must be really boring. I struggled to answer these.
1. Food - no matter how bad it is for you (or even if it's good for you!), what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it? Cheese! Too much gives me a migraine but if I'm going to a party, there better be cheese and I will try hard not to eat it all!!

2. Drink - same as above! (Does not have to be alcoholic.) I don't usually overindulge but I do enjoy a good beer! IPAs are my favorite. Beer pairs well with cheese, by the way.

3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others? TV show: I don't re-watch a lot of shows but I did just finish my second-ever re-watch of Lost. I actually liked it even better this time and I maintain it is the best show on TV ever. I could totally watch it again.
Movie: old James Bond movies. even though there are some awful scenes/attitudes portrayed particularly in regards to women and non-western cultures.
Book: any of the Riyria books for the stress-free reading and bromance.
Music: here's the one thing I can consume over and over! I tend to go through phases where I find something new and listen to it heaps. Right now that's Lord Huron, Milo Greene and The Paper Kites. I could also never get sick of anything by the Mumford & Sons and I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit Coldplay (since people seem to love to hate them).

1. Food - no matter how bad it is for you (or even if it's good for you!), what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it? Chicken parmesan and pasta. w/garlic bread. I over-indulge on everything but definitely the garlic bread.

2. Drink - same as above! (Does not have to be alcoholic.) Coffee. I probably average about 8 cups a day. Can drink it at 10 o'clock at night and still be asleep within 30 minutes (but that means I'm usually waking up by 5 or 6 am. "Sleeping in" is now considered 7.

3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others?

TV Show: Forged in Fire. They do a marathon of previous shows and the new episode every Wednesday. And every Wednesday my dvr is set to record it all, even if I've seen the episode several times.
Movie: Besides Lord of the Rings, it's the Princess Bride. I've seen it an inconceivable! amount of times.
Book: I don't think I have another answer for this besides Lord of the Rings. I think it is the only book I've read cover-to-cover multiple times.
Music: Tom Petty
A Loquacious Loreman.

@Boromir88, my partner and I love Forged in Fire! Hardly anyone we know is into watching that sort of thing, so it's great to find someone here who does. Have you also watched Forged in Fire: Knife or Death?

1. Food - no matter how bad it is for you (or even if it's good for you!), what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it? I never feel guilty about eating things, but if I had to pick something I know wasn't the best for me, I'd say M&Ms, there is a story my family loves to tell about my youth when I ate an entire (full) gumball machine's worth of M&Ms and no one noticed me do it.

2. Drink - same as above! (Does not have to be alcoholic.) Again, never guilty about it, but I do drink Bailey's straight from the bottle

3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others?
TV Show: Hannibal, Hannibal, Hannibal
Movie: The VVitch and Midsommar
Book: The Croning, by Laird Barron
Music: oh honey...

1. Food - no matter how bad it is for you (or even if it's good for you!), what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it? Niamo Bars (or Nanaimo Bars, depending on who you ask. Possible that my family has inherited a unique misspelling :googly: I will eat a whole pan if not stopped.
2. Drink - same as above! (Does not have to be alcoholic.) Really good root beer. Strong English cider. PSL. Eggnog lattes. Eggnog.
3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others? Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The Mary Russell novels. Redwall series. Hamilton. many others :googly:

@Dwim @Boromir88 I watch (or did in the before times) Forged in Fire often with my fellow sword nerd friends!! It's a good time.

1. Food - no matter how bad it is for you (or even if it's good for you!), what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it? Oh gosh. Good quality chocolate. Far too many kinds of cheese. Homemade molasses cookies. Fresh in-season berries of any sort. Cherry tomatoes from my garden. Pad Thai. Satsumas in winter when I desperately want good fresh fruit.
2. Drink - same as above! (Does not have to be alcoholic.) I sort of get obsessed with one drink and have it for a few months, then move on to something else. My current obsession is fruit shrub, which is vinegar infused with fruit and sugar, then mixed with fizzy water. I've made raspberry shrub, blackberry shrub, grape shrub, and plum shrub all in the last few months. Alcoholic drink favorites include prosecco and Negro Modelo beer.
3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others? I mean, there's a small possibility that coworkers from multiple jobs have walked in on me singing along to Hamilton, sighed, and walked out.

1. Food - no matter how bad it is for you (or even if it's good for you!), what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it? sour cream and onion pringles. yes, I know the fat is directly injected into it through needles.

2. Drink - same as above! (Does not have to be alcoholic.)
I’m not really an indulger. I need water to live. :rasp:

3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others? What, besides Lord of the Rings? Book wise, I rave about Robin Hobb; my most ubiquitous music is Sufjan Stevens because he is very easy to fall asleep to. I don’t often have the attention span for TV but I could probably watch the Avengers films on repeat

Sorry I missed my summons to post the new questions! :embarrassed:

1. Food - no matter how bad it is for you (or even if it's good for you!), what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it? Hot chips. I am a fiend for dirty fries, or even something as simple as chips and gravy.

2. Drink - same as above! (Does not have to be alcoholic.) I do have to actively limit how much I drink now because I get a hangover at the drop of a hat, but I cannot resist a Red Ale. Fox Hat Red Pelt is my favourite and I would happily drink a whole carton.

3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others? I can (and do) watch Oz (TV show) and Fired Up! (movie) on repeat, and am always in the mood to listen to Shinedown.

@Dwim @Morim, yes Knife or Death is a good spinoff series too. They're basically the only shows on the Hitlery Channel I'll watch now, because a lot of the other ones have become to scripted for "reality TV"

There's some fantastic answers in this bunch! I'm going to have to go with @Moriel for the next round, though, because eggnog will always win! I just can't over-indulge with eggnog because it will make me ill. But I love it so much, ugh.

My answers:

1. Food - no matter how bad it is for you (or even if it's good for you!), what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it? There's this recipe for bruschetta pasta that is to die for and I can eat it for days (and overeat it for each meal) when I make it. Pro tip: double the amount of the tomato topping if you *really* like tomato.

2. Drink - same as above! (Does not have to be alcoholic.) Tea. In particular, Harney & Son's Hot Cinnamon Spice, but I really like many different types of tea.

3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others?
TV: going foreign here for the most part. Downton Abbey. And then some Korean dramas - Suspicious Partner, Arang and the Magistrate, Legend of the Blue Sea, Moonlight Drawn by Clouds, Her Private Life.
Movie: The Corpse Bride and/or Klaus. Both of those movies hit me in the feels, somehow in the same way.
Book: the original Firebird Trilogy by Kathy Tyers, Arena by Karen Hancock, and the His Fair Assassin series by Robin LaFevers (the final book of the original trilogy--Mortal Heart--is by far my favorite.)
Music: the soundtrack for Anastasia on Broadway. Our local lock-downs went into effect literally the week before I was supposed to go see this live.

3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others?
TV: Lucifer and New Legends of Monkey
Movie: If the Shoe Fits (cinderella style movie with Jennifer Grey and Rob Lowe)
Book: Pride and Prejudice

1. Food - no matter how bad it is for you (or even if it's good for you!), what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it? I have a weakness for sweets, and seem to be especially susceptible to chocolate chip cookies. There are (un)fortunately some in the house right now, but probably not for much longer.
2. Drink - same as above! (Does not have to be alcoholic.) On the other hand, I've successfully cut back on my soda consumption this year, but I used to drink more Coke than was good for me.
3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others? My interests tend to be cyclical, where I'll go through periods of very intense engagement with a certain show, book, movie, or recording artist until I'm borderline burnt out, but then revisit after I've had some time to refresh while thinking about other things. Aside from Tolkien, I've gone back to the wells of Harry Potter and Avatar: The Last Airbender probably more than anything else.

1. Food - no matter how bad it is for you (or even if it's good for you!), what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it? -- Yes. Oh, you mean just one? Not sure I can do that. Pizza, fresh baked bread, many desserts. Milkshakes.

2. Drink - same as above! (Does not have to be alcoholic.)
-- Black tea (hot to cold), Coke zero, Whiskey, Sparkling wine, Still wine, Whisky.

3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others? -- Huh, that's a good one. I'm not sure. I know there are some that I really like and could watch many times, but not sure that I could do so endlessly.
Shows: The Stargate shows (SG:1, SGA, SGU), Battlestar Galactica, Marvelous Mrs Maisel.
Books: Basically anything by Brandon Sanderson. I really liked the Virga series by Karl Schroeder. All the Tad Williams stuff I've read is good. Tales of the Ketty Jay by Chris Wooding.

1. Food - no matter how bad it is for you (or even if it's good for you!), what is a food item/dish that you always overindulge on when you get the chance to have it? Oh this one is tricky, since I'm not really a foodie. I'm more of an eat to live person. I guess crab legs?

2. Drink - same as above! (Does not have to be alcoholic.) It used to be soda, but I quit last May and I'm really proud of myself for it! My guilty pleasure right now it probably a mudslide, but it's so sugar and calorie dense I try not to have it very often haha.

3. Entertainment - what tv show/movie/book/music is one that you never get tired of, that you consume over and over again, possibly even to the annoyance of others? Oh, I do this with a LOT of things. My current obsession is the Stormlight Archive, but I'm sure it'll snake back around to something else soon once the next book is out in November and my hype dies down a bit. Mass Effect for video games, Blackmill for music (possibly Singularity in there as well, add in some Trivecta and Seven Lions). Movies: How to train your Dragon and Stardust are a few of my comfort movies.

1. Sword, spear, or axe? Why? Not spear, because I don't fancy having to constantly run and retrieve it. I think axe-wielding sounds more likely to give me back ache, so I'll pick the sword.
2. Other than Tolkien (including Christopher), what single author do you own the most books by? I think I'm going to be a bit of an abberation here. I don't really stick to one author I like (this is even more the case now I buy a lot on kindle and just go with recommended new authors). So it's probably something boring like JK Rowling, given I have the 7 HP books, the Casual Vacancy, and then 5 under her alternative pen name.
3. How many mixing bowls do you have in your kitchen? I moved flat last week, and we now have a depressingly tiny kitchen, so we could only fit two in. As a result, I have, with much chagrin, returned to my parents' house a rainbow coloured multi-set of stackable mixing bowls (it was like a set of Russian dolls and went right down to tsp size cups). My new aspiration in life is to own a kitchen large enough to comfortably fit them in.

1. Sword, spear, or axe? Why? Sword, because it just feels right and suits the way I'd want to attack.
2. Other than Tolkien (including Christopher), what single author do you own the most books by? Chuck Palahniuk, the author of Fight Club.
3. How many mixing bowls do you have in your kitchen? Three, I think. Although we've been known to mix things in non-mixing bowls too.

1. Sword, spear, or axe? Why? We mostly have swords in the house, but spears seem like they’d be most multi functional

2. Other than Tolkien (including Christopher), what single author do you own the most books by? Difficult to say without a thorough re-examination of the library. David Eddings, Robin Hobb and Philippa Gregory probably are quite high up there, just because they’re prolific writers. Maybe also Margaret Atwood?

3. How many mixing bowls do you have in your kitchen? Three mixing bowls, one of which is never used for mixing. Two general purpose bowls that are sometimes mixing bowls sometimes salad bowls. My favourite mixing bowl has a little lip for easy pouring.

1. Sword, spear, or axe? Why? Hmm, perhaps spear? For no other reason than I’m short and I could use it to poke things I normally can’t reach
2. Other than Tolkien (including Christopher), what single author do you own the most books by? Philip Pullman
3. How many mixing bowls do you have in your kitchen? 10 :googly: but it’s a couple sets of varying sizes plus some random ones from family

1. Sword, spear, or axe? Why? -- Let's go with spear. It offers greater reach/range, can be melee or thrown (not that I can do either, mind you), and can be easily non-lethal. At least, that's all what I naively presume.

2. Other than Tolkien (including Christopher), what single author do you own the most books by? -- Brandon Sanderson. Though Tad Williams isn't too far behind.

3. How many mixing bowls do you have in your kitchen? -- Three glass, three plastic, and one that goes on my stand mixer. So assuming I can do basic addition, that's 7?

1. Sword, spear, or axe? Why? Axe. It can chop, slice, dice and mince.
2. Other than Tolkien (including Christopher), what single author do you own the most books by? Stephen King. I believe we have close to one hundred books plus, we have doubles. We found one at a thrift store for $2.50, in fairly good shape, that is selling for $500.00 online. :headbang:

@Túrin :  I am missing Tailchaser's Song (I would love to find it in hardcover) and I am waiting for, The Navigator's Children, which is currently scheduled for a release in October 2021, to finish my collection.
3. How many mixing bowls do you have in your kitchen? 12 - glass, stainless steal and ceramic.

@Tyrion Lannister Is the new Osten Ard series good? I've been reading other things (and too little at that) lately and haven't started them yet. I only have Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn, and Shadowmarch (though that counts for 7 books!). I had War of the Roses at one point, but I haven't been able to find it. I suspect I lent it to someone and never got it back.

1. Sword, spear, or axe? Why? before all of our weapon related conversations, I would have said sword easily, but now I’m leaning more toward spear. Better range, better mobility, easier to maneuver with
2. Other than Tolkien (including Christopher), what single author do you own the most books by? to the surprise of no one that knows me, Laird Barron has the most space on my “bookshelf” (aka my desk) with 8 books and an anthology dedicated to him
3. How many mixing bowls do you have in your kitchen? if we’re talking just the plastic kind for flour and eggs and such, 5; if we’re talking the smaller ones as well more for spices, 11

@Túrin I have to reread the whole Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn trilogy again before I can read the Osten Ard series. It shall sit on the shelf until I get through all the books, again. Last time I read the Dragonbone Chair was around 15 years ago, I believe. I am rereading it right now, actually. Memory is not as good as it use to be. My memory, not the series :googly: . I will let you know if time allows and hopefully plaza is still around, how the Osten Ard turns out.

1. Sword, spear, or axe? Why? Axe. Seems like it would be more multi-purpose to me. Sword and spear you're pretty limited in what you can do with them. An axe you can use as a weapon AND as a tool, if necessary.

2. Other than Tolkien (including Christopher), what single author do you own the most books by? Grace Livingston Hill. She essentially created the 'Christian romance' genre in the early 1900s. While it's not a genre I prefer most of the time anymore, this was my late Grandmother's favorite author and when she downsized her collection a few years before her death, I took several of them. Now that Grandma's gone, I'm glad to have the memories of summer afternoons spent reading with her. I probably have 30+ books of hers.

3. How many mixing bowls do you have in your kitchen? Um... at least 10? I've never actually counted them.

1. Sword, spear, or axe? Why? Probably an axe. Similar to Taeth, it's fairly versatile. I've also used a hatchet before, so I at least have some idea of how to probably use an axe.
2. Other than Tolkien (including Christopher), what single author do you own the most books by? C.S. Lewis. I have the Chronicles of Narnia, the Space Trilogy, some of his other fictional works, some non-fiction, and the letters.
3. How many mixing bowls do you have in your kitchen? I think my apartment has about three or four, plus a couple of the tiny ones. And a stand mixer.

Louis L'amour. They were like $1 each when I was 15 and didn't have any money, and I can't bring myself to get rid of them. After that, probably a tie between Tess Gerritsen and Brandon Sanderson.

3. How many mixing bowls do you have in your kitchen? 3, plus 2 little bowls I use for setting out candy (loving some Candy Corn this time of year!)
