Where am I?

1. No, this is not a cave.
2. Yes, this is place people are known to have left.
3. No, this would not be considered an entire region.
4. Yes, this would have been considered a good place.
5. Yes, although not what it's known for I think it virtually certain that this place was a port.
6. No, this place is not accessible to those living in the Third Age.

@Aduchil It is Vinyamar! I was hoping "not Nevrast" wouldn't mislead anybody here, which is why I made sure to mention Nevrast is a region.

It was the clues of "would probably be a port" and "not Beleriand, but debated" that did it. I basically just looked at the map of Beleriand along the coastline to find any location beyond Beleriand by the sea. :)

@Eldy Dunami got it. The name literally means old man/woman, though with his usual subtlety, Tolkien even calls him Gamling the Old. Old man the Old.

Thanks, Aduchil! And thank you to Gamling's parents for looking at their baby boy and deciding to give him a name that proved so apropos to his role in the War of the Ring.

@Elvheimdros, it is indeed Inzilbêth! As she is introduced in the Akallabêth:
There was a lady Inzilbêth, renowned for her beauty, and her mother was Lindórië, sister of Eärendur, the Lord of Andúnië in the days of Ar-Sakalthôr father of Ar-Gimilzôr.
(The Akallabêth may have a tendency to throw tons of names at the reader in very quick succession. :googly:)
