Pheeeeeeeew! Thanks for the game @Durien! I've never played timed trivia like this on the Plaza, or any other forum, but I think it works pretty well! The simul post system actually probably makes it easier to score than in something like Discord/messenger or voice chat where people can just "shout" over each other.
@Arnyn and @Ercassie *tips cap* With any luck, I'll see you again for RoTK :smiley8:

The Results of Round 1 & 2
Team A has scored 18.5 pts + 0 pts = 18.5 pts
Team B has scored 20.5 pts + 30 pts = 50.5 pts (I should have split the two of you up!)
Team C has scored 0 + 15 pts = 15 pts
Arnyn is the individual round 2 champion!
(Super close match! The scores individually were 13 pts, 15 pts and 17 pts, with a total of 45 questions being asked!)
Round 3: The Two Towers will begin on Saturday, June 20, 4 pm EST

@Aerlinn I like this method, but I realize it is frustrating and disheartening for those with slow internet connections. The problem with the old drill formats was while they were time friendly, it also meant the questions had to be very difficult or obscure in order to be challenging enough to not always end in a tie. I have also thought of the idea of creating a list of 100 questions, post it and the contestants have one hour. (for example, say I posted 100 questions at 9:00 am, then at exactly 10:00 am, everyone must post their answers. A minute early or late would result in disqualification - to avoid cheating.) Then tally the totals. But it lacks interaction. I might try that idea out if I do a future game but for now, I'll stick to this format.
Oh darn, I missed the Fellowship game. My laptop died over the weekend...hopefully I'll have a new one in time for the Two Towers.
That said, I do like the ideas of doing a trivia game over Discord (reminds me of the old AIM chat rooms where we used to play trivia games all the time) or the posting of all 100 questions at the beginning of the hour and answering as many as you can (almost like the old "Mad Minute" multiplication worksheets we did in elementary school).
