The Great Mathom Mix-up: ån RP Game!

It’s Silas Hardwick’s birthday party! As is the custom with Hobbit birthday parties, there are presents for all and sundry... but there’s been an Accident! Unfortunately, the table with all the presents on has been toppled over by Silas’ new kitten - and she’s torn off all the ribbons with the name labels on too... so nobody knows what might be in each box! There’s only one way to solve this crisis: everybody get stuck in, have some cakes and ale, and start unwrapping presents! Some of them may be Unexpected, but some of them may be delightful surprises!

So come on over to the party, pick a present to unwrap, and help Silas name his rascally kitten! Who will find the most valuable presents, and who will get stuck with the mathoms? Take your chances here!

EDORAS IS BURNING!

The capital city of the Riddermark has recently been unfortunate enough to suffer mishap and arson. A number of conspiracies and gatherings have inconveniently come to fruition in a single night. While some have taken to the bed and others engage in late night revelries, the city of Edoras is roused as no less than three separate locations in Edoras are suddenly consumed by flame.

Will you join the rescue efforts as citizens and visitors alike unite to save the city from the inferno?

Angmar has returned!

Angmar, Iron Home, the realm of the Witch-King, established in year 1300 of the Third Age in the far north of the Misty Mountains and the wastes of the plain beyond. Throughout its history Angmar has threatened the northern lands of men and elves, gathering orcs and fallen-men, evil spirits and dark creatures of all stripes to its bosom.

The year is TA 3014 and the Queen of Iron rules from Carn Dûm in the Witch-King's stead. This thread describes and covers locations such as Carn Dûm, one of its taverns (The Dagger), the Temple of Angmar, the Mountains of Angmar, the Forodwaith, and the Icebay of Forochel. Any other location you can imagine in the general geography of the thread is also up for grabs. Though the established premise exists in TA 3014, you may free RP in any year! All races welcome; elves/rangers/etc adventuring or investigating in the far north are free to play here, as well as the denizens of Angmar. This is currently a catchall thread for all Angmar RP, but if certain locations or activities prove especially popular, they may be split off into their own threads in the future!

Farmer Maggot has inspected a patch of common ground in Hobbiton and pronounced it absolutely perfect for growing food, fruit and flowers of all sorts - and perhaps even mushrooms! But which will flourish best in such earth? Farmer Maggot has a huge collection of mushroom spores - and some other mysterious seeds and cuttings as well - but alas, he’s not very organised and he can’t be sure which is which. Time for us good hobbits (and other folk) to get out there and experiment.

Come help Farmer Maggot plant his mystery crop (and crops of your own), and see who will have the most productive growing season! There will be special prizes along the way, a tasting session to see whose crop is most delicious, and prizes for the largest veg! Watch out for weather and other events- you never know what might happen. All are welcome, though minions should be at least semi-plausibly disguised and behave themselves!

It's your one stop warg shop for breeding, training, fighting, and recovery. Be advised that while all are welcome, this thread is for minion characters only, whether trainer or warg; Any Free Persons who have ventured this far into Mordor had best be in HEAVY disguise: the Wargs have excellent noses...

Thread may be used for free-RP, or for a mini-game within the fighting pits. There will be periodic optional Events and RP prompts.
