I got fairly good at it at my previous job. Lots of days I recall feeling like Peter Gibbons in Office Space where I could have upwards of 5 different bosses telling me to do completely different tasks, because none of them communicated with each other.

@KingODuckingham Ok then, for book it is "almost" anything by Joe Abercrombie, though steer away from his Half a King trilogy unless you like teen books (I didnt..). If I have to narrow it down to 1, then the Blade Itself is awesomeness. You do have to get over a bad name though, but other than that I love it, read it and you will know exactly why :P Though you might want to go in order, cause Glokta is awesome too, especially the part where he has to walk down a set of stairs. Granted I am biased as Naith will read that in Glokta's "voice" and that makes it all the more epic. Omg I should so get him to do that section on chat! :O

As for movie well I really liked Edge of Tomorrow, who wouldnt want to watch Tom Cruise die a hundred time lol :P

1. When you were a kid, what job did you want to do when you grew up?
Lawyer, I remember a 6th grade assignment about a career of my choice. My mom at the time was a clerk for a law firm, so I interviewed some of the lawyers at the firm and decided that's what I wanted to be. At least when I was in the 6th grade, which is the earliest I can remember thinking "I want to be that when I grow up." But that changed rapidly, by the 7th grade I was like "nope" because I was getting old enough to understand my mom's rants about lawyers.

2. Do you prefer board games or video games? What's your favourite board game/video game?
Board games. Favorite board game is Risk.
Video games I have a handful of favorites depending on the console and my age at the time. Growing up, N64 MarioKart I played all the time and Goldeneye for N64 was I believed (at the time) the best video game ever made. For computer/lap top I played Morrowind, Skyrim, and Civ games all the time. I don't play video games as much anymore (I still only have a 360, so might tell you my interest there)...but when I do get the itch, it's always either Battle for Middle-earth II or one of the FIFA games. But the last FIFA game I have is '18

3. If you had to become a supernatural being for the rest of your life/existence, what would you choose to be?
I'd probably want to be a Greek God because whenever the ancient Greeks couldn't quite understand the world they had a tendency just to invent a new god to explain it. It's also got me into a habit of pronouncing "Popsicles" like an ancient Greek name. So I would be "Popsicles (pronounced like an ancient Greek name)", the Greek God of frozen, flavored water on a stick.

1. When you were a kid, what job did you want to do when you grew up? A, uh, mommy elephant. Alas, I have not figured out how to shapeshift yet. And the verdict is still out on how badly I want to be a human mother.

2. Do you prefer board games or video games? What's your favourite board game/video game? I prefer board games. Since March, Sunday afternoons have become board game day with one of my roommates. Games like LotR Risk, Risk 2210 AD, Pandemic (I bought that in March cause why not?), Black Orchestra, and Disney Villainous have been games we've spent hours playing. Eventually I'll get around to buying Settlers of Catan as it's been awhile since I've played it.

1. When you were a kid, what job did you want to do when you grew up? I wanted to be an astronaut! I was even voted next astronaut for my 8th grade yearbook, out of a class of 500 or so. I still want to be one, but I've accepted my limitations lol.

It's been hard to make time for board game nights ever since the kid was born, so I'll have to go with video games for that sweet solo action lol, but I really do love gaming in all its forms. 1. When you were a kid, what job did you want to do when you grew up? I wanted to be a classical clarinetist and pursued that goal basically until I went to college. I gave up on it because the constant pressure and competition robbed music of its joy.
2. Do you prefer board games or video games? What's your favourite board game/video game? I am not much of a gamer in any medium. I actually realllllly dislike board games, particularly complex strategy ones.

1. When you were a kid, what job did you want to do when you grew up? When I was a kid I wanted to dance like Shirley McClain and sing like Barbra Streisand and act like June Allyson as Jo in Little Women. So I guess I wanted to be a star when I grew up.

1. When you were a kid, what job did you want to do when you grew up? A writer. Briefly a lawyer, because my dad was a lawyer, but before and after that a writer. Now it's looking like Academia is the way... So partial success, I guess.

They seem like the right sort of folk. Outside of Tolkien, maybe some sort of a nature spirit or green-man? I've always loved that kind of folklore.

1. When you were a kid, what job did you want to do when you grew up? I wanted to work in wildlife rehab and/or help endangered species, specifically wolves. But I later worked at a vet clinic and realized that working 11-12-hour shifts on your feet with nonstop crises and emergencies and having to be an alert caretaker that whole time was completely exhausting and emotionally difficult. I realized I could would never make it long in that field.
But deep down, I have always wanted to be a writer more than anything else. And still do...

@Menolly - I only lasted a year at the vet, too. It is hard work! The mental health aspect was the hardest part.

1. What’s one skill you wish you had but don’t currently possess? Why?
Spinning/weaving. I have actually had introductory lessons to spinning yarn, but as I don't have a regular source of fiber, it's not been at the top of my list for a skill to develop. I would really love to invest in a loom eventually, though, and learn how to make my own fabric. Why? Because I'm particularly fascinated with the old time skills which we seem to be losing at a rapid pace. Just because technology can do some things for us now doesn't mean we should forget how to do them at all.

2. What’s one skill you *do* have of which you are particularly proud? Why?
I am actually a seamstress (though I don't do it for money. I did for a time and I started to *hate* it, so I stepped away). My mother started teaching me how to sew when I was 7/8, and I furthered the skills during my time in 4-H in high school. I have won awards for my sewing (not just at the county fair level, but at the state level), so I feel that I have a right to be proud of that skill.

3. Tell me about your favorite place to eat out (in normal times, of course)
A few years ago a pair of Japanese brothers opened up a sushi restaurant in a neighboring town. I didn't get to eat there often pre-pandemic, because it's pricey (but well worth the cost) but it's the best sushi I've ever had, hands-down.

1. What’s one skill you wish you had but don’t currently possess? Why? the playing of any musical instrument (I can strum a guitar and that’s it) because I want to know what it feels like to actually create music
2. What’s one skill you *do* have of which you are particularly proud? Why? I am very good at organizing and categorization. It’s one of the things that helped me decide that being a librarian would be a good idea and that way I can bring light to works and pieces that get overlooked in this day and age and promote new things to study and analyze, therefore expanding our overall idea of culture
