Welcome back and I do remember your old name though I don't know how much we interacted but welcome back it's fantastic to have you here!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to say hi! I know most of you won't remember me. I was active for such a small time in the big picture of it all. I joined the original plaza back in January 2004 and was active a few years so probably started posting less in 2006 or 7. But I liked to go back to check on the forum every so often. But I have found it difficult to get back into the swing of posting.

I wanted to thank all of you for keeping this site alive and bringing it back to this new forum! It is so nice to see and feels like another home to me. Despite not knowing most of you half as well as I should like... I decided to go with my original name on the original plaza, PriscaGamgee, I was Prisca Sharrasi for awhile and then changed to Olive Sharrasi for a bit. I always was a hobbit. Except.. maybe briefly tried another race, I can't remember that anymore. I just know I had a lot of fun memories from the plaza and still think of many of them to this day.

So thank you so much for keeping this place alive and I'll try to actually make real contributions to this site in the future and start role playing again.

@meldaboffin and @PriscaGamgee I don't know if I knew you back in the days of yore but nonetheless welcome back! I'm so glad you found us again

Hi everyone! I'm very glad the site is back. I was only here for a small time - around 2013 or so, and then again in 2016 until the site crash - but I have many fond memories with the site, especially RPing with other members (I think I still have my drafts somewhere on my computer). Finding out the site exists - completely by accident, a nostalgic google-search - is a wonderful start to 2022. I'm very glad to be back and hopefully contributing when I have the time :)

Hello everyone! Back in the day (2004-ish IIRC), I was a wizzy known as "Frick" (a misspelled reference to the character "Frik", played by Martin Short in the Merlin miniseries). I have fond memories of staying up late with my laptop burning my legs through my blanket , giggling at our silly inside jokes and nerding-out all night long. Unfortunately, life happened, and I drifted away from the Plaza as the years went on. I wish I could've stayed active on here - a regret I thought I'd have forever when the site went down. But now it's back..! It's really back!! Words cannot express how I feel. Thank you so much to those involved. This place is so special, and the people in it are special. I am so happy to be back.

I was just googling for an old Advanced Lore post I had about Faramir to try and find it again and lo and behold I found the New Plaza I could barely contain my excitement.

So glad people are finding it through google, that will make Narv happy :D

Pretty sure it was one of the top results when I searched or the archive (came up before the wayback machine). I can't believe I didn't search for this a year ago :( I've been dreaming out going back in time to the old Lotr Plaza days for years. Ya'll have done a FANTASTIC job!

I joined the original forum back in 2004-2005 as Aiwe Nenharma and I was active mostly in Lothlorien before university and real life took over. Glad to be back and see some familiar names! I'm hoping to jump back into role-playing, although I've kind of forgotten how to do that.

Hello! Here from the 2020 Reddit thread after finding out about the old plaza’s demise, RIP. Kept my name. I joined 2003ish and resolved to be a lurker when babies invaded the peace in our house a few years later. In my time there I was Saruman for a bit, and if you remember me it’s either from that or the debates. Good times!
