1. Tell me about an excellent food you ate and why it was excellent. Hmm, I think one of the best meals I ever had was a picnic where the main dish was Coronation Chicken in a bluebell field in Winchester. The food, the friend's and the atmosphere made it a time to remember.
2. What's your favorite obscure fun fact to share about a subject you love? Icons (the religious imagery that goes into churches) are traditionally "written" not painted. This is because an icon is more than a picture and can also be considered a prayer.
3. What's the worst book you ever managed to read cover to cover? I don't really know if I can answer this question. Usually if a book is really bad, I don't finish it. And even the books that really annoyed me for school can't really get classified in "worst book ever" categories. Though, if you really want an answer, Utilitarianism by John Stewert Mill is the book I've come the closest to tossing into a fireplace, simply because I couldn't stand his philosophic stance.

1. Tell me about an excellent food you ate and why it was excellent. Honestly it's been a while since I had anything that blew me away, but I do LOVE bernaise sauce. If you haven't tried it, do! Pork chops, rice and bernaise sauce, YUM!!
2. What's your favorite obscure fun fact to share about a subject you love? I do genealogy and have found that I am a decendant of the first king of Scots, Kenneth Mac Alpin :D Also found a murderer! Wife and her new love killed her husband! She got hung, but the boyfriend made a run for it and as far as I can tell got away with it.
3. What's the worst book you ever managed to read cover to cover? Left hand of God by Paul Hoffman. Sequel and read it cause I really liked the first one, but omfg, what a piece of CRAP the second one was!!

1. Tell me about an excellent food you ate and why it was excellent. This would definitely be the black truffle and mushroom pasta I had in Italy. And the tiramisu. I don't think I've ever tasted anything so good.

Not sure how obscure it is but Osprey (fish-hawks) mate for life and they usually return to the same nest they used the previous year, building upon the old one. The male returns first and the female follows. Did you honestly expect anything other than bird-related from me?

It was recommended to me by a plazaite (Jess / Boone) because I like vampires, and after struggling through it I had to admit I could not read on with the next books because I hated the characters so much I wanted to scrub my brain. She laughed for like, a week, before being amazed that I'd even made it through the damn thing. At which I knew that her transition to minion was complete, for she had learned to torture.

1. What word do you always misspell? I can't think of a specific one, and I'm usually ultra-careful even if I don't remember how to spell a word right away, but doubled consonants mid-word often give me pause. Like I have to ask myself, is it broccoli or brocolli? Or something like that.
2. If you could make up your own nickname, what would it be? There isn't a better one than Ducky. Can't really claim to have "made that one up" but it won't be topped.
3. What time period would you pick to live, if you had a choice? Can't take this question too seriously or I'll just be sad or confused, so I'll just say the 180's B.C. so I could have the chance hear CARTHAGO DELENDA EST in person.

1. What word do you always misspell? I suppose the favourite one is writing 'Eru' instead of 'Euro' - have done it a lot of times, but luckily always caught myself before sending in translations.

3. What time period would you pick to live, if you had a choice? The English Heptarchy period, even without the Rohan influence, I've always found Old English paganism to be fascinating, yet fractured and lost, if I went back far enough, I could fill in all the gaps.

1. What word do you always misspell? English can be so tricksy. Maybe the most common is recommend. I always forget whether it has 2 c's or 1. I almost always type reccommend until I get the red squiggly lines at the bottom.

2. If you could make up your own nickname, what would it be? Even though it's not one I made, it was given to me playing baseball. I loved it and it sort of stuck all through high school with my coach and teammates. "Bones" because I was quite thin and I also made it known the original Star Trek and TNG were probably my favorite shows at the time.

3. What time period would you pick to live, if you had a choice? I grew up in the 90s and I think I would just wish to be a little bit older to enjoy growing up a little bit more before the technology boom.

2. If you could make up your own nickname, what would it be? I have no idea. My name is not really nick-name-able, something I lamented a lot as a kid. Now I don't really mind so much especially since nicknames can often be embarrassing or ultra-specific to one facet of your personality.
3. What time period would you pick to live, if you had a choice? I have to say I agree with @Menolly and @Tarawen - I would likely have died without modern medicine by now. But picking a period otherwise, I'd go with the 1920s. Although it is sandwiched between two pretty awful decades and two World Wars, I think it'd be a smashing and I'd go have a roaring time while I could! Plus, I'd love to wear the fashions of the day even if the boyish silhouette does not suit my body at all, I still love it! Bonus - they had indoor plumbing which is simply a must-have.

1. What word do you always misspell? Typing - the. I always write int he or ont he. It is very annoying. Otherwise manoeuvre was my bane ... I once got asked as a challenge to spell it backwards - I couldn't spell it forwards! The American spelling actually helped me get it right once I cared enough to find a way of remembering.

Real-life, I don't have any nicknames per-se, though everyone who has known me since childhood calls me by a shortened version of my name. In high school I transitioned to going by my full name, so most people who have met me in the last 10-12 years only call me by my full name.
3. What time period would you pick to live, if you had a choice? If I could bring modern sanitation with me, maybe the reformation era? It's a mess of a time period, but easily one of my favorite subjects to study.

1. What word do you always misspell? Part. Hear me out. For several years I worked in a customer services for a party planner company. I had to write the word "party" repeatedly over and over every day for all those years. Muscle memory automatically adds a Y onto the end of part now, it is soooo annoying!

2. If you could make up your own nickname, what would it be? I did, my nicknames are Star (for Starbreeze) and Fairy, even in real life as so many people I know in real life also knew me through Plaza, and it just kind of caught on for the rest.

3. What time period would you pick to live, if you had a choice? I too would have died multiple times without modern medicine, but if I had to pick, I would like to live around the time that women's suffrage movement in the UK was really kicking off, I would have loved to have joined the protests.

But from the lowest of the low (that is to say, contemporary pop) I'd have to say Katy Perry is a guilty? pleasure of mine

I do not like heavy or nu metal because typically I listen to music to be calming and relaxing. But I love Serj Tankian, a stellar voice and SOAD is technically a great band. I was fully prepared to answer Fair to this...because I thought there was a little more controversy (yes, yes completely biased I know ). I think he's a complex character in the books, because he's portrayed as a 'corrupt politician' sort, but the death of his wife did noticeably hit him hard and a lot of stress, so there is a modicum of sympathy. But those were all Fair responses to why this was a Foul statement. Many good points.

Do you like serious role play threads? Elaborate. I like serious role-play threads and the current mischief in Rohan between the Summer Festival and Lost & Found Cav RPG is really starting to wear on me LOL. I don't mind some humor, but the constant shenanigans are exhausting. I write epic fantasy because I love more serious stuff, with intrigue and magical possibilities. So crazy stuff is a real stretch for my brain.

Why do you think my shops in the Gondor Market and the Rohan Market hasn't had a single visitor? No idea with the Gondor Market, but as for Rohan... you only just opened up your shops? And also the Riddermarket has an unexpected bit of intrigue happening as well right now, which is distracting from Actual Shopping.

Do you prefer serious pubs or silly pubs? Serious pubs. But I will indulge in a silly pub occasionally.
