What one thing about NuPlaza would you change, and why? First post sticking to the top of threads on consecutive pages. Alas, not possible to code. The only thing we can do is make threads longer (so say 100 posts before page 2 but then this takes longer to load and more to scroll through)

1) What genre of music do you listen to that others might no? Introduce us to it. Genre? I doubt I listen to any unique genres. Artist specific, I recommend Devin Townsend and Ben Caplan every chance I get. One is (generally) metal and one is a sort of folksy piano/guitar/sometimes strings fellow with a deep smoker's voice and uniquely poetic lyrics.

1) What genre of music do you listen to that others might not? Introduce us to it. ... I listen to such a wide variety of music and currently have a pretty diverse group of friends so I know multiple people who all listen to the types of music I do. It's bizarre. However, the one I probably listen to that actually shocks people based on what they know of me (for some reason) is that I like foreign heavy metal/rock bands (especially symphonic metal). Within Temptation, Tarja, Epica, Nightwish, etc. They all really get my writer-brain flowing, too.

I am terrible at coming up with game ideas. >_> Rohan definitely needs something though. Maybe some sort of actual horse racing game that just goes in never-ending rounds LOL.

Spa music. Like that nature sounds and panflute shire they play in spas and waiting rooms, and have those "choose a sample CD to listen to" machines for in drug stores. There's a particular collection of spa music called Dan Gibson's Solitudes that has hundreds of albums in it and they're all VERY GOOD. I like The English Country Garden, Illumination, Emerald Forest, Woodland Harp and Garden in Provence especially. Listening is guaranteed to lower your blood pressure and stress levels by 85%

"Find the wizard", a scavenger hunt wherein we just search through the kingdoms for Ducky as he wanders about due to having no home (I actually have no ideas but he posted above me, so here you go )

I feel like my musical tastes are pretty unremarkable so I'd be surprised if people didn't know of anything I listen to. A cool group that I adore, though, is called City of the Sun. Some artists I'm a fan off and have tended to stick with over the years (and all of whom I've seen live and can recommend): Passenger (internet tells me he is folk/indie rock), Biffy Clyro (probably rock), and Bastille (indie pop - so says internet)

I though will listen to anything between Roy Orbison, Mavis Staples, to Tom Petty to heavy metal like System of a Down and Serj Tankian. Symphonic/medodic metal, and Progressive Folk Rock (my taste is truly eclectic) - For the Symphonic metal, look up Within Temptation or Nightwish, for the Folk Rock, look up Steeleye Span - literally any album from either and you're in for a treat!

Well, some genres I listen to have been mentioned so to answer the question I'm going to go with nature documentary film scores. They are soothing, orchestral and beautiful! Blue Planet and The Crimson Wing are two of my favorites.

@Winddancer, @Nia, @Turin Ringhûn - YES Mumford & Sons! I went to their Delta Tour concert and it was AMAZING. Also super excited to see someone mention Guster - one of my favorite bands and I also enjoy The Lumineers.

1) What genre of music do you listen to that others might no? Introduce us to it. I listen to all sorts of music. I am very passionate about the music I listen to. But the genre I listen to the most is metal. I enjoy all types of metal, but the last couple of years I've leaned towards metalcore. If any other metalheads are curious about what bands I listen to, mention me in the What Are You Listening To thread in OOME and I'll gladly go into it!

I am wanting to make a game called Mûmakil Assault (not really sure what that involves or where it would be, but it would be a silly, dice type game). I am also planning to create a lighthearted pub where each post has to be under a certain amount of words or characters, just to make it real easy to jump into without any real fear of not RP'ing well enough, or not having enough time to take part, or whatever.

1) What genre of music do you listen to that others might no? Introduce us to it. I've been listening to a lot of Americana/Irish type music lately. I'd recommend starting with Carbon Leaf (the Indian Summer, Echo Echo, and Nothing Rhymes With Woman albums are all on YouTube and are great). Other bands/artists I'd recommend that people may not have heard of: Chuck Prophet, The Jayhawks, Marc Cohn, Blue Rodeo, and The Clarks. (I tried to branch out in my recommendations beyond my normal Springsteen/Led Zeppelin/Kansas/Bob Seger/other classic rock bands that are more well-known.
2) What suggestions do you have for games we could RP in kingdoms to make sure they get some traffic? There was an old game in Fangorn called Do You Dare to ENTer? that I have seen often when browsing through the archives and it seems like it was popular as a type of Dungeon Escape/Task Completion type game but it was a pretty heavy load on the thread-runner to come up with all of the potential "options" as people navigated their way through the maze of the game.

Calling Saruman's Uruk-hai "the muck-rakers of a dirty treacherous wizard" is one of the best insults I've come across.

2) ... steal from Smaug or Glaurung, and what? Glaurung. His treasure hoard in the sacking of Nargothrond was definitely greater than Smaug's. I mean the Nauglamir, which had a silmaril set in it. The Arkenstone is definitely a great prize, but does not compare to the nauglamir.

3) ... be the dwarf whose axe woke up the Balrog in Moria, or the one to suggest to Elenhir that it was canonical for Balrogs to have wings? the dwarf whose axe woke up the Balrog. Elenhir's essays on Balrogs is by far the most comprehensive I've come across on the topic. And as long as I wasn't the nearest entity when the Balrog first awakes and would be extremely cranky, I would feel I could get away safely.

@Túrin - Yesss! So glad you liked it. And I LOVE Guster. I now predict a Guster binge in my near future . . .
