Headquarters - Captain's Office

Lieutenant Arnyn Dealedwen
Two days after Midsummer
Her dark brown eyes looked deep-set but alert. They were constantly going to the open door and the rest of the office. Arnyn had given up on the paperwork. She could no longer focus on it properly and it made her eyelids heavy. Instead, she was constantly moving, walking aroung headquarters seemingly randomly, making sure there was no routine in her rounds.
Currently, the Lieutenant had returned to the office for water. It was in part her carefulness in keeping herself hydrated that ensured her waking state, for she had hardly slept more than an hour here and there for the past two days. Adrenaline was another factor that helped, but she felt it was starting to fade. No one had moved on Shamara as of yet. Whether or not Relic was around to know of the other woman's capture, was still more a guess than a fact. If she knew, she had not yet made any attempts.
Despite her sunken eyes and dark lines around them, the uniform she wore was clean and looked brand new, with the kind of creases here and there that only came from new clothes which had only been folded one way.
The light knock on the doorframe and the voice that followed made Arnyn approach. "Karis. Good morning. Come in." She assessed the look on her friend's face. Arnyn was well aware that this was the first day Kariswas back on duty since Midsummer, but the serious lines on her face made her suspect the Cúner was not oblivious to the most recent events. "You have been informed?" Arnyn half stated, half asked.
