Hey everyone! So the member of the month voting is nearly up and there haven’t been many votes. I would like to implore you all to take a quick 5 minutes to do so. Even if you are not active, I still implore you to take the time and vote. You don’t need to have been super active the last month to stop by and tell the admins who you think is the coolest or the best or your favorite writer. Why am I so invested you ask ( okay you didn’t but I’m gonna say it anyway). I came up with the idea to let us, the non admin members of the Plaza pick someone special. I really want to see that idea succeed because it can help draw us together more as a group and can say to someone that we as a whole enjoy their work and their company. We’ve got a few more days, and you all have 5 minutes to push the envelope button on the bottom of the page.

I’m also just posting this in the OOC threads because it’s not an announcement so much as it’s a plea to engage with.

@Gwai and @Calimir - you are the BEST for sorting out the lemons!! I could have hand-waved some Plaza magics to get them but its more fun to involve other people.

Oh dear, what have I done? Allacan is definitely no match for @Nia and @Lailorn working together! I feel like my vigilante days will be over sooner than I expected (totally ok with this, you two would be a powerhouse pair of renegade redeemers, go for it! Just let me know if/when you want Allacan to re-appear in Fields and Forest or something so you two can find her )

@Queen Nerwen You were the winner of at least two out of five Rohan Summer Festival events, I figured the icon change was just the next step towards total Riddermark Kingdom domination? (Its *always* the quiet ones you have to watch out for)

@Everyone Next week my beloved boyfriend is off work on holiday and it is also my last week on Furlough (off work), so even though we have no idea how exactly we are going to celebrate this time I suspect we will fill it sufficiently enough that my plaza activity will dip, and thereafter I will no longer be a lady of leisure and will have to figure out how to balance that blessing called 'full time employment' with all the fun stuff. In summary, I will most likely be a lot less active in the next two/three weeks while I learn how to work/life balance again, but I fully intend to still be a regular enough plaza-ite that I can keep up with the role-playing stories I am currently involved in, even if I won't be around every day. If any of you who have already achieved some success in fitting plaza around work have any advice, I am open to any and all suggestions because I do NOT want to miss out on the fun here!

Also @Everyone - Random thought; it looks like this thread has reached 262 and 6 pages, so I suspect someone (*definitely* not me, nope, not going to rise to that bait) will be opening a new one shortly.

As a kingdom we are lucky that we would appear to have a rather reliable source of having our opening posts re-posted on subsequent pages (What's your current count @Wamba_the_Fool?) and our activity levels have grown so much that we have a lot of threads open - some are special events like the Firefighting RPG and others are old regulars like the Riddermarket.

While I don't think we really need a Newbie-House Niwefrendhus thread, might it be handy to at least include in the OP of the new Golden Hall a list of kingdom threads and brief explanation like the old Newbie Thread used to do example below) (, especially for the threads like Show Ring, Hall of Rohirric Histories, Archives and Cavalry Oath that might drop onto the second page but still be open?

And if so, does one of our more organised members fancy taking on the challenge of opening the next Golden Hall and keeping the OP updated? (Nope, not me, stop looking at me like that hides behind the sofa)

And should we perhaps consider pinning some of the threads we want people able to find easily?

@Allacan ob Burzum, I work shifts at least overnight twice a week and sometimes 4 on the trot. I've set a routine in my diary and stick to it. It's the only way

I definitely think some threads should be pinned. Right off the top of my head, I can think LeóÞ swá Worð (Hall of Rohirric Histories), the Golden Hall OOC, Meduseld Memoirs, Riddermark Ærendgewrit—Rohirric Mail, and Records of Rohan (Archive) should get pinned. Those are all threads that often need to be referenced, but might easily fall off the front page and get lost simply because they're not super-active RP threads.

Update: test taken, waiting for results.

Agree that having those key threads pinned is a good move

I'm not really sure we need a Newbie Haus/Niwefrendhus given this thread works well for that and I don't expect we will get a lot of complete newbies, more likely returning players.

I agree Golden Hall OOC, Riddermark Ærendgewrit—Rohirric Mail, and Records of Rohan (Archive) should all definitely be archived.

Need to get some activity in the Meduseld Memoirs first before it is worthy of being pinned, a link in the OP is probably enough for now.
