Hello, fellow PNWers! @Menolly and @Tari! I've been in Oregon the last 1.5 years and I was in BC before that.

Also...I've been wondering if anyone has joined this site as a new/non-Old Plaza member...

Well to be fair, it was majorly overwhelming when I joined the plaza back in the day :P Soooo crazy busy!

I weirdly have @Tari on my Venmo feed and have for years. So I keep tabs on you.

I joined as a dorky 15 year old in maybe 2005, and now I'm a dorky 30 year old. How time flies! Great memories here.

I joined the 'old' plaza in December 2002 when I had just left university and started working. I've been on the plaza for many years and was Samwise Gamgee for a while, ruing the Shire together with Brandybuck who was my lovely Rose Cotton. When our daughter was born and I switched jobs, I didn't have the time to be active anymore, but I've always missed it. I love having the plaza back and hope to see many more familiar names!

@Dis, I really like that detail about why you were Mahal.

Hey y'all, just re-made my account and thought I'd pop in here. Years and years ago I was around under the username "Androthelm Theromal" and now ... I'm back! Thrilled to have googled LOTRPlaza to comment to a friend on how sad it was that the site was still gone and ... found this place!

Hey everyone, I'm actually the friend that Androthelm was talking to, we were talking about when we used to be on the site and got excited to see it back on, excited to being able to remake my account (used to be under the name Linderon) and get back into posting again.

Also @Moriel Thanks! Yeah, I'm testing a little now (obviously my cookies are gonna influence it but still) and it looks like it's coming up pretty high when I search "Lotr fanatics plaza". Not seeing it on just "Lotr plaza" though I'm sure the URL change isn't helping there.

Welcome Google friends! Yeah, I have no search-engine optimization skills (and these phpBB forums aren't so great at it to begin with), but my understanding is that the more you all post about Lord of the Rings stuff on here (and keep saying Plaza and such), the higher we'll get, slowly but surely. We seem to do pretty well with "lotr plaza" (especially on Bing, for whatever that's worth [nothing]), but "lotrplaza" without the space is a tougher nut. In any case, welcome!

Wow we moved here around the same time then, Ides! Two years this November for me. I hope it has been a good adventure for you so far! Wow your memory impresses me. Yes, I was in New Zealand up until 2014 when I finished grad school, then I moved to Canada for a while. My partner also got offered a good job in OR we couldn't refuse, so here we are!
