Heeyyyyoooo everybody

Morwen Daegomir here, in the very beginning I was Manwathiel Raenmin, but that was in... 2007 when I first joined?

Mainly a citizen of Gondor- I bore the Lindo fiery eye icon for a while as Maia of the Cottage, thus the nickname Toasty/Burnt Toast. I think that was around 2010/2011?

Then in 2015/2016 I wrought havoc in Gondor, and bore the icon of Aragorn for a time, watching over it with my partners in crime. Potato ships! And something about a remake of the hot tub pub. Where's my Bro-omir at?

Hi, I'm Fairy Nuff, aka Starbreeze.

Originally joined the Plaza in January 2002 back when Eru was still around, one of the first members - (my member number was 311, how crazy that I can remember that!) along with two friends who went on to become Plaza greats. Due to compatability problems with the original Plaza and my old PC at home I remained a lurker for a long time, occasionally joining in with the foo and glomping in Rivendell when I could access the plaza at school.
Finished school, college and Uni with the Plaza and all my friends here supporting me, took a few breaks when RL got too much when I started working but always came back for the creativity I found here.

My Plaza career covered Rivendell (as it was then), Isengard (wizzies forever), The Shire and Fangorn. I was part of the Order Of Merlin (third class), edited the Plaza newsletter and ran so many games and threads I can't even remember. But I've always been more lurker than poster so you may not remember me. :)

The Plaza has been part of my life for over half of my lifetime, if I count keeping in touch with Plaza friends since it died two years ago. So good to see you all again!

I was 11 and am now 28...I still often reflect on how formative the Plaza was for me as a writer and just as a person generally. Looking back at how prolific I was on here, I'm pretty jealous of my younger self.

It was a minion thing from when we all changed our names all the time. Mine was 65356. I had them all written down somewhere because it was impossible to give or request any tribute without them as you just could not search a minion by name.

Not you though, you were pretty consistently Reikon...

I just found my way here, thanks to a prod from Aodh Hammerhelm. I see quite a few names I recognize from the old days, though the faces are, somehow, younger looking than they were back then. It feels a bit odd to be sporting that new soul candle but I hope to be back home in Rohan soon.

Allllrighty then!! I finally got myself signed in. How wonderful to see all of these familiar faces! I joined the Plaza back in 2003 and managed to hold most ranks in Gondor, including Ranger Commander, then was a Ruler for some time there before becoming an Admin the last few years, I guess it was. Happy to start over get to know everyone all over again. I'd mention those whose names I recognize, but that would be most of you!!! I'm looking forward to jumping back in S-L-O-W-L-Y and trying to drum up those old memories.

Thanks to Narv for giving this whole thing a go - I know we've all been missing our good times here. This will be one good memory coming out of Covid-19 isolation. Our family moved from the UK back to the USA back in 2012 (after 21 years) to help care for our aging parents.

Heya everyone!

I joined in 2003 like Findy, when I was thirteen years old and still spelled like a 13-year old who had English as a third language. Still I chose the most challenging kingdom, Minas Tirith, because it looked so orderly and structured. Ha. :D

I've always been known under the username Arnyn, although I did add in a flourish with a last name (Dealedwen) after a while.
My Fourth Age Arnyn got to lots of Ranger ranks too, like Findy, though the one I truly enjoyed the most wasn't the highest, it was Hyandaner Captain. ^^ The team spirit, the leadership, the PEOPLE. Ohhhhh.

After a plaza hiatus from somewhere mid 2007 until... what, 2012-ish, maybe, I came back to find that MT had been SWALLOWED by the region 'The Shadowed Lands'. Horror. Also, RP in Minas Tirith was set in the Third Age now, too! I couldn't handle revamping my Arnyn and starting her over from scratch, or messing about with her timeline (stuck in my ways, despite my young age). So I created a new character, Kaylin. Had lots of fun with that one as well. And spent a good number of months as Mayor, playing Boromir. That was a GREAT joy!

Can't wait to see what this Plaza version will hold in store!

Welcome back! Good to see another familiar old face, Arnyn. Though I'm not sure we interacted much in-character I definitely remember seeing you about.

Hey ho. As luck would have it (since I avoid FB like the plague these days) the increased activity on the FB page happily brought this revival across my feed on one of my brief visits.

I'm loving seeing all these familiar names. <3. I have no Idea when I joined the plaza. For that matter, I have no idea what I had for dinner last night. I blame my kids (ages 8 & 5).... and for the grey hair...

Where was I again? *wanders off muttering to herself about old dogs, new tricks, and rocking chairs*

Hi! I'm Firerose Arien, or Fir for short. You may have also seen me as fir3r0se or FireroseBoudicca. I joined when I was 16 in 2002 - I'm now 34 (what the how did that happen!?). Some of you I've kept touch with on Facebook, so you'll know in the intervening years I've become a little obsessed with swords, but I still love baseball, sushi, and puppies.

Hello everyone! I'm Almarëa; joined the plaza in 2009 or 2010, if memory serves - about the same time as I started undergrad. Spent most of my time in Rivendell/Lindon, with a few excursions into Lothlorien, Mordor, and the Lore sections. It's so great to see so many names I recognize! :D

I think I was no longer a Dunami by the end and was just Rissien, but it is litterally my xbox gamertag and anytime Rissien has been taken as a username I always go with RissienD or the full name so might as well keep it

Hello, folks. I joined in 2010 and was a bit active around the old place. It was a fun time, though I definitely had some cringey teenage moments on account of being a teenager at the time. (I will never apologize for the squirrels, however.)

Most people who recognize me will probably recognize me as Baingíl. It's great to see so many familiar faces around here!

Hi, Bain! :smiley17: I'm really glad you made your way here. I think cringing at old forum posts is a right of passage many of us went through. I know I still do, sometimes. :smiley15:

Hi guys!! Oh, wow so many names I remember! It is so good to see you all!

I'm Shivased. I joined back in 2003. I have and always will be a Rohir, never had any other kingdom than Rohan. Also I kinda hid there and didn't post much outside it. I was First Marshal of the Cavalry and a ruler of Rohan for a few years. It is so good to be back!

Oh man. Many names I recognize, many names I... don't.

I bounced around on horseback for most of highschool and gradually fell off the forums after going to college in 2004 - a couple times I made it back for a few months at a time. Eru knows what would happen now. XD

SSSST, Cav, Adventurous Souls, bad fanfic, not completely terrible (who am I kidding?) poetry, attempted lore, various other RPGS, Hotel California, stole Arlo's name once...

So new and so old at the same time. I joined the very first iteration of the plaza back in 2002 and was there for its early rebirth. I was Donrufie and Don Adargell (sp?) and probably more names. And for a brief time in 2003/4 I was the admin Nienna. Good times!
I feel so old now, haha

Oh my.. Eldrith here, reporting for duty. Well, not for duty. For pleasure, for memories, and hopefully for more RP! I always was all about the RP forums, and some OOME. I remember the Faramir, Bormomir and Legolas fanclubs (I was a member of the first). I remember the long ago plays, from the March against Therion to the plaza Olympics. I may be most known to some as either Ranger Cook in Gondor where I started. Or several years and years in Rohan as pubmistress for the Aeldsel Inn. My last feat before the plaza went down however was the mysterious Black Hand Clan that seemed to be up to no good in Gondor.

Also.. I am the 100th member!! *throws confetti*

Oh my! *Waves brightly at Eleowyn* It's so good to see you again!! Isn't it strange how much older we all are? I was in my twenties when I found the plaza.. I am 44 now. LOL living on a different continent, married, two kids.. it's so.. utterly strange!

Ohai!

Lúthien Tinúviel has always been my username ever since that fateful day that I joined in March of 2009. Not to be confused with Luthien Tinuviel (Luthy), I got nicknamed BLT, though I do not remember who originated that nickname. :smiley16:

I was an embarrassing 13 year old at the time, and my first thread got me in a lot of trouble, as I infamously asked about Elves and...ahem...bodily functions related to the monthly cycle.

Fortunately, this forum was full of compassionate people, and despite the many (many, many) stupid things I said and did in my most active years, I was generally addressed with understanding, while also getting some much-needed call-outs. And slowly but surely, those call-outs were taken to heart, and I became a more mature person because of it. I posted soooo many rants in OOME in those years, heh. A lot of it was really petty. But I think the fact that my complicated teenage emotions and experiences were validated really helped me in my battle with depression. (Though Zoloft has done way more wonders. :smiley8: ) So even though I logged in less and less by 2012 or 2013, I still have always valued the friendships I've made here, and the respect I got at such a young age. Heck, I don't even remember all the people who talked to me and influenced me, but every one of you has impacted my life in some way or another.

I've become much more geeky and passionate over the years, while remaining a total goofball. But my depression is way less severe than it was ten years ago, and the suicidal ideations I masked in my poetry threads have faded into the abyss from whence they came. And I know I owe that to you guys.

We need a heart emoji of some kind, because the :smiley17: emoticon doesn't always do justice.

I'm really glad to hear you're doing better, BLT. <3 I had a lot of really embarrassing teenage moments on the Plaza as well, and for as much as I wish the archives were still available, the silver lining is that some extremely cringeworthy things I posted during my loneliest and most awkward points are now lost to time.

I sometimes think forums attract people with depression, or perhaps it's just that people are relatively more comfortable opening up about it online. I look back on the last 11-12 years of my life and I have no clue where (or if) I'd be without people on the Plaza beginning the process of convincing me that I'm someone other people want to be friends with. That took many, many years to fully internalize and I still have trouble wrapping my head around it, but whaddaya gonna do?

You know what I’m gonna do it, Red Daghul here, I joined sometime in 2005 or 2006 when I was 15 (now being 30) spent most of my time in Gondor with the rangers. I help lead the hyandaner as Second in command with my good buddy Turin (see

I loved my time here, and so happy to see so many people coming around!
