The Halls of Durin’s Folk (OOC)

And of old it was not darksome, but full of light and splendour, as is still remembered in our songs.

Yes, we were all silly poets back then, but it was fun. I often think of Doc. Have you ever heard from him? I too find it hard to use the phone. Enjoy the lore and the Plaza. Maybe we shall see you around the Mountain too, eh?

It was indeed fun. When I went to uni I lost contact with everyone so unfortunately haven't heard from him. I will certainly try to pop in from time to time.

I thought it was adorable that you let my little dove and her mate live even though I was happy to sacrifice them, Fuin. My favorite line from your post was this one --
Fuin Elda wrote: Tue Feb 16, 2021 11:37 pm Her elf would be displeased if she took the woodsmans eyes and so instead she flew steadily waiting to find a safer roost to eat her prize.
 Maecheneb might not mind so much..

Glad you liked that line I was chortling when I wrote it, and I figured I'd pull a David Attenborough and have have her eat a different 'less fortunate member of the flock' Thanks for the fun little RP! I will likely have my falcon fly off and out into the well noon day I suppose since we just had sunrise lol

Just a quick note of warning to all of you, if you go after Urgi in the character elimination game, I will find you and eat you all

Hi @Lailyn ! I would love to play your game. May I use Khazad-dûm as a location or does it strictly have to be in Erebor/Dale ? I kind of fancy my birds having a nest on the side of Zirakzigil. :smooch:

@Afird Splitax I saw your post if you're wanting to partake in shire racing but want to have some competition I could actually roll for my own character as well as doing the GMing... Might as well have some fun racing myself if you are interested in another race.

Sounds good, @Fuin Elda! I have been thinking of using two other characters as well (rat and coney). Time keeps slipping by so fast. I will post this evening. Should be fun!!

@Afird Splitax In the same race unfortunately no, but you are welcome to race a rat or coney or any other kingdoms creature you should like. I look forward to your post!

Notorious for not reading the OP and rules, am I. Darn, I had my rat and coney named and their owners ready to race. Oh well, it shall have to be some other dwarf.

Hi @Fuin Elda I assume that you want to end the race seeing as how you took all your rolls, so I took my last 7 rolls too.

@Afird Splitax It is April 30th! So it is the last day of the month before the new race starts! This one actually didn't have any delays on answers so it is ending on time woot LOL

@Afird Splitax Ohhh I totally understand time is FLYING right now and I'm screeching like a banshee about it almost being my birthday how dare it haha. Next race is in Mordor (since I made a mistake and was looking at my initial schedule which had Mordor later instead of second oops) so that'll be fun then we'll have a break for June and hopefully more people will want to play in July.

@Afird Splitax so was thinking since the elimination game is sort of going really slow, what about a rule change to you're allowed to post once every 24 hours unless someone else has posted? That way things could possibly keep moving and it would keep multi posts from people like me from happening ever day but still allow RPing and battling to go on since we are actually doing RP battle for each post now?

 @Fuin Elda you read my mind this morning. As I listened to the furnace kicking-in, 15 minutes before the alarm was about to ring as usual (why? why? why must I lose that 15 minutes of precious sleep?), I pondered over the rules of the elimination game and wondering if I had changed the rule to allow less time between post.

Good idea! I will not be able to update the rule until this evening but, you are more than welcome to do so if you have the time! :smooch:

I'm baaaaaaack!!!!
Finally made the migration to this new site and I am eager to reconnect with wall my old friends. I was first active in the early days of KD. I took over the Kagams after Thor Star ran for Looking of the dwarves and then migrated to Lothlorien. I was let in getting the first inter-kingdom still team competitions going and was quite active with the KD guard (under Blue Silk Sword) and the dwarven debate team. I left around 2004 (approx.) after a bad falling out with then King, Annolori. I resurfaced in 2016 eventually serving twoish terms as mayor of Erebor and one term as mayor of Dale until the old site was lost to the evil internet gremlins.

Hi Hlaevang! I remember your name quite well! I was a young (in the sense that I was new to the plaza) dwarf just arriving in KD in 2003. I do remember all that controversy with the rulers (what an unfortunate event). Tis a much calmer NuPlaza we have these days. I like it a lot!

Silk was here a while back. I have not seen much of him lately.

It is good to see you and I hope to see you around!

Hi @Fuin Elda ! Can you word that rule change for me cause I lost my marbles yesterday and do not understand the rule change. :googly: Thanks!

1 or 2 posts between or 24 hours (so double posting is allowed every 24 hours). The one or 2 post rule is up to you if you want to change it right now it's 2

Hey @Afird Splitax, I kinda jumped ahead a bit there but can I write memorial posts for those eliminated in your character elimination thread? As in a narrator giving a short eulogy to the eliminated character? If not, I can always delete my post there I already created.

@Afird Splitax, in the Bird game you've chosen both F5 and laying eggs but you can only choose one or the other, sorry! Let me know here or edit your post to choose. & no rush, it'll be at least a few days if not more until I update.

@Prometherion, is it safe to assume when you said "let's build a nest" you'd like the Thrush to lay eggs?

@Fuin Elda - That would be great if you could update the points in the game. I can't seem to find the right time these days. Thanks! 🤗
