3 letter name. Used to be 2.
I’m a candle. Look at that.
That may change. Perhaps tomorrow.

The first part reminds me, I found this plaque for Miss Luthy on my hard drive, please do pass it on in the unlikely event that her copy was somehow misplaced in the intervening 18 years..

Wow wow wow. I'm having a hard time containing my joy at seeing this website back online. I was probably 13 when I first registered and now here I am at 32 and still feeling that same joy logging in now as I did then. I loved being a hobbit and part of The Shire community. It was such a wonderful community to be a part of, to play in, to make so many friends. I'm not sure how active I can be these days, but just grinning ear to ear knowing that this place still exists, that I can come back.

It's been... so long.

I joined so long ago that I don't think I can remember. I guess 2003. Has it really been two decades? I remember hanging out for hours and hours on IRC and AIM. I got to meet some of the other members. Crashed Arwe's wedding, even married another prominent member...

Feels like another life now.

I'm really happy this place still exists. The text editor even works like it used to!

Welcome to NuPlaza... And indeed it has been an exceptionally long time I also joined plaza back in 2003.

Who's running the place, btw? Does it need support? I'm a lot more capable of that than I was at 20. lol

I see they got rid of the white council/isengard/council of the istari. A pity, but understandable.

Welcome or welcome back @Falcrist! Don't know which one is more appropriate so you can have both. As for who's running this place here's a bit of helpful links with answers because quite frankly I'm too lazy today to paraphrase  Welcome! Here's the deal with this site and Happy Narvlaversary!

I genuinely don't know how to feel about those pictures. This place is a trip...

An emotional one. My activity on-site wasn't very impressive, but I spent a loooot of time chatting with some of these folks.
Thanks for the welcomes!

Hi All,

Basically for the entire time I was on the Forum I was Fane/Fanecu and for a while was the adoptive son of Aig for a long while. I think I originally joined in 2007/2008 I think and spent almost all my time in Rivendell coming up with some fairly suspect backstories for my character!

I then disappeared around 2011ish because life really took over but I’m really happy to be back - I might not be doing too much RP but it’s just brilliant that the site is back and I can get some serious LotR chat again! Especially seen as Narvs amazing work makes the site work significantly better on mobile devices now!

Looking forward to catching up with people as an when I can!

Hi, @Fane Mordagnir! I remember you (I went by Eldorion at the time). Great to see you back, and always nice to see more old Plaza family surnames cropping up.

@Eldy Dunami Eldorion is a name I remember - I was t sure how many people would recognise me as I was never the most consistent poster!

@Fuin Elda I think we maybe did some Tingdain stuff back in the day but I think I maybe completed one item and then life happened and I disappeared!

Fane, welcome back!! I don't think we hung out much but I certainly remember you  Moriel here hiding under the silly name, sometimes known as Tavari Mordagnir

I'm ecstatic to see you back @Fane Mordagnir !! This is Aigronding Mordagnir, your Plaza father, mate. Aig is a major NPC of mine. Mar is gone but I have Aigronding married to my NPC, Roina Mordagnir, a childhood friend from Aman; I had to redo Aigronding's marital history on new Plaza. You can take a look at his biography in the Imladris character submissions thread. Hit me up on Discord or Facebook Messenger if you want to plot for Aig & Fane when you can write a bit. Tharmáras is my lead Plaza character now, a noble and naval soldier of Lindon.

It's cosmical you return just as I wrote Elmarya recently. Telkelion's daughter first appeared in your RPG Caras-ned-i-Firn, about recovering relics from Ost-in-Edhil, 12 years ago. Moriel (Tavari is Aigronding's blood sister) was there, too. Good times then, good times to come. Welcome home, buddy!

Honestly you may have... I feel like I had a lot of Mordagnirs come through, I know you probably don't have a lot of time for RPing but if you ever want to join the Tingdain again it's once again up and running.

@Winddancer I’m not sure if you’re the admin for the page but I only get the message that I don’t have permissions to view any of the messages on any of the channels - I can see the pips on the names of the channels to show new posts being added but nothing else.
