Can I have a kind admin delete this post of mine, please? I'm reworking a lot of my character's stories because I have a "grand idea" (famous last words here people, watch this girl crash and burn ) and this doesn't fit into the narrative anymore and editing it would just be a pain so deleting the thing is the best course of action. Or so I determined Well now with this longwinded explanation out of the way my thanks to whoever fiddles with the admin buttons

Is it possible to get a feature to mark Notifications as Unread? (Or maybe I am an idiot and it exists, I just don't know how even though I tried.)

I like to use mine as a list I can refer to of where I need to go back and post. The notifications are super helpful and awesome for this, but if there was a way to re-flag them, it would be even more awesome.

Did a lil digging, go to your name, then user control panel. On the left chose the notifications part, then scroll all the way down and on the right it says unmark all. I am assuming that's what you need?

@Lailyn @Winddancer - yeah as far as I can see, we can only currently mark notifications read. This seems feasible from a code perspective but I'll want to look into it further to be sure. Will report back!

Well technically it seems it would be do-able your way, Windy, just lots of clicking and manual labor to get what I was after. Thanks for looking!

@Lailyn - I looked into this over the weekend, and the whole "mark notifications read but not unread" thing is unfortunately hardcoded into the PHPBB software the Plaza runs on. I looked for existing PHPBB extensions that might do what you're after, but I didn't see any in the wilds of Google. So from a technical perspective, we can't easily add the functionality to mark notifications unread without coding up an extension for it ourselves, and that is not something we can feasibly commit to atm - hopefully there is another way to keep track of things that also works for you?

So two things

1 can we get a rainbow type icon in the smilies for the month? Or permanently whatever?

2. Give the recent happening upon which a narv proclamation was made perhaps an 18+ forum that one needs to request access to should be created so that posts that are slightly spicy or hella spicy can be made where people that like to read that sort of stuff and write it can do so?

2) My thinking here is that 'slightly spicy' is generally okay in moderation (where slightly spicy == PG-13 per my 'proclamation', such as it was), and 'hella spicy' i.e. stuff that's definitively past that PG-13 line should probably find another site on which to flourish. Ambiguity is inevitable when it comes to this stuff, but given that I personally haven't seen much anything on here that would qualify as hella spicy to my (possibly depraved?) sensibilities, I don't think there's much need for an 18+ forum, even if I was up for making one. If enough folks wanna band together to go create an 18+ anything goes lets-get-weird-with-it plaza clone that would be hilarious and kind of awesome and have my full blessing but uh.. I'm not gonna host it :)

and @Narv Okay I'll admit I"m a little sad at that I know there have been a few people thinking about a similar idea as suggested but understand it is your server that you're hosting this on and confirming ages is a 'fun' task. That said I DO have a server and a BBforum so I suppose I can't just poke them that way if they want to do so on a forum... I feel like it will likely just end up on discord or similar though but if people are interested I could see about making one section of my forum look more like the plaza vs how it looks now which is most certainly not plazalike lol

Although I know I need to edit bios and just c/p the things, the empty posts waiting to be edited are judging me with their empty judgy eyes and annoying the living daylights out of me. Yes, this is possibly the stupidest reason you have ever been presented for post deletion, but humour this circus clown

Request no. 2 is a smarter one, trust me. Can Tara's instructions about using tables in this informative post with screenshots somehow be copied to the first page or placed somewhere for easy access? Instructions on how to use technical ju-ju for idiots technologically limited clowns? (Me, OK, obvs this is me )

Went to test and I didn't get the delete option, only to edit, report and quote. See visual reference below. Even when I click edit, I don't have the option to delete the post, just the standard options to Disable BBCode, smilies etc. And again I have no idea why my screenshots look like they're drunk.
