While the action of sending the nominating email may take but a minute, I suspect the greater time is taken in looking around the site, including places a person might not usually frequent themself, in order to judge what and where whichever members have been active in the last month. That is after all, the point of a Member of the Month, isn’t it ? Or is everyone just resigning to a system of choosing whoever posted last, or always choosing their best friend ?Ambivalent Octopus wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 8:31 pm taking the 60 seconds it would take to vote is taxing on a lot of folx around here
I think you're being heartfelt and I commend you for being honest about what you feel. I want you to know that I do share this noble, emotional sentiment which is probably evident in the tribute thread in AMAmbivalent Octopus wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 9:11 pm Yes, choosing your best friend is better than nothing at all. Why? Because it's a vote, it's a vote that says you care about that person and love the work they do and want it to be recognized by everyone on the plaza.
I know I’m going to regret posting again here but this has just confused me. We are able to choose someone who currently has an ATR to have one immediately again ? The initial thread which introduced us to the Member of the Month states that we should NOT vote for someone who CURRENTLY HAS an ATR. If this changed then I was unaware.Winddancer wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 6:37 am just want to add that you can still vote for someone who has or has had an ATR!
