Hope I am not butting in - sure Rohan is "overall" Fourth Age but I don't see why you couldn't do a retro post in a Free RP thread in any kingdom (unless rules say otherwise I guess which I'm not sure of). It would be kind of cool actually, I like retro posts!

@Jorgy Underash - just an fyi I'm not sure if you mean for the top post to be a list of current requests. If not, ignore me. If so, Allacan's fun horses in the market story has wrapped up with the last Riddermarket thread.
Also wondering if you advertised this thread? Just to be sure folks are aware of its existence for connecting with other RPers.

You are absolutely not butting in @Lailyn! I'm always happy for help and input. And you are right, I overlooked the fact that we can use the Free RPs to basically write where and whenever we want. Thank you for the clarification!

Apparently I resurrected the thread but I didn't clean it up so it's a shambling corpse rolling around in the dirt. Thank you for remind me!

and don't worry about the top post, it's not a super big deal for me to have it, second to top is just as good!

@Jorgy Underash I signed up Talina for the Lhun boat race in Imladris, so I already know that it's set in the third age (I checked first). I did check out the thread mentioned in Gondor and it seems that you have to put in too much detail, so the boat race seemed like a better option. To play in the fourth age, I would have to create a whole new character, since too much of Talina's history is set in the third age, so it might be too tricky to transfer her over.

Sorry I've been a little scarce lately, we're in the midst of a heat wave, and it's a little too hot to stay on the computer for more than a couple of hours. Though luckily our temperatures are supposed to drop starting tomorrow. Though I live in an apartment, the units aren't air conditioned (only the hallways). In my Mom's place, it's the opposite (the hallways aren't air conditioned, but the units are, but she's not renting like I am, she owns it, so that's probably the difference). Though I don't mind the heat, it's a little hard to sleep without air conditioning, so I just open my bedroom window after midnight (don't worry, both my bedroom window and my patio door have screens. Luckily I don't have a cat yet, or else he might want to try to climb up it like I saw a young tuxedo cat do on a video on Facebook. Little stinker! Luckily, she was able to climb back down) and place my fan in front of it to get more of a cool breeze.

Hi everyone!
I'm not exactly requesting a RP, but I have some characters up for adoption if anyone's interested?

Basically, I have a mostly background character who had multiple families on the side, and I don't feel like inventing all those side families to play, myself, but if anyone wants to collaborate with me, that would be great!

So the general info here is: Derek Willows (may have gone by various names, who knows) was a traveling salesman, he'd go to all different parts of middle earth to sell his wares. And he had a woman in pretty much every place he went to I know for certain that, aside from his legal wife and son in Bree(a character of mine) he had at least two other 'wives' who would have not known the marriage was actually illegal.. and they had kids together. He had at least one fiance with one kid, with plans to marry asap, and most likely he had other fiances and women he was playing the field with too.
Because he traveled a lot, he wasn't around too much, just often enough to come home, be with the family a week or so, and then go on his way and not be seen for another few weeks or months at a time.

So... if anyone's planning to make a family in any region and want to say that Derek was your dad, feel free to poke me and collaborate :D

His son who lives in Bree is like... 35ish? to give you a frame of reference... placing Derek at roughly 50ish or so
Derek may or may not be dead.. his family in bree believes him to be dead.. but is he? Who knows :P


Another note for any bandit type characters: Derek worked as a Fence, buying up stolen goods and then selling them in other regions where they wouldn't be recognized as stolen. So if you want to say your bandit used him for a fence, feel free :D

So I've come up with a lovely new character Granny Appie Smith

A deaf old hobbit that likes apples and golf, would love to have some more interactions with her in the Shire just day to day stuff like people popping in for a visit to make sure the old girl hasn't keeled over (maybe trying to steal a pie recipe if we want some intregue)
