In this game you will take a side within the Star Wars universe: Republic or Empire! Once you have declared your allegiance, you will engaged in a pitched space-battle, and attempt to help your side destroy the enemy's battleship cruiser.
The battleships will take up 15x3 squares and will be at the top (Empire) and bottom (Republic) of the fields respectively. They will each possess 30HP - that is, it will take 30 strikes to bring them down completely.
Each player will have control of a small fighter (X-wing or Tie fighter, depending on your allegiance). These fighters will take up 1x1 square and can move up, down, left, and right freely.. They will each possess 2HP: they will take 2 strikes to bring down completely, but after they have been hit once, they will no longer be able to shoot.
You, the player, will be operating one of the fighters. You will be able to shoot in a straight line: either up (Rebels) or down (Empire).
Each round you may choose to EITHER shoot OR move. Your shots may help to eliminate enemy fighters and their cruiser, but equally you may use your fighter as a barricade against enemy shots.
When the game ends we will see:
- Which side has the most ships remaining
- How many hits each battleship cruiser has taken
- Which individual has made the most successful hits
If a battleship cruiser is brought down, victory is automatic for the side that destroyed it

RULES
- You must play as a character from Star Wars. Any universe/era character from Star Wars permitted. You may also create and use an original character within the Star Wars setting.
- Please RP at least 100 chars with each post. Post as many times as you like in a round but you may only either shoot or move once
- Rounds will last ~24 hours, after which the board will be updated to reflect the current position of fighters and list the hits that have been made or missed
- NO EDITING TO CHANGE YOUR POSITION IF SOMEONE FIRES AND YOU’RE IN THE LINE OF FIRE. If you edit after someone has posted shooting at where you were, you will be presumed shot! Any typos can be fixed on admin request, or just double post OOC. Double posting will be permitted for this reason.
- Fighter positions will be accounted for in the order they are posted. For instance, if you shoot at square B4, currently occupied by an enemy fighter, and that poster has not moved or shot yet, they will be able to move and avoid your shot if they notice it. On the flip side, if someone moves into an unoccupied square before you have used your move/shot and that square happens to be in your line of fire, you will be able to shoot at them.
- At the top of your post please bold your ALLEGIANCE (Republic or Empire)
- At bottom of your post please post in bold: the square you are in, the square you are moving to (if relevant), and if you are shooting. You will be assigned a starting square in the first update.
- If you move into the same square as another fighter, you will crash into each other and each lose 1HP
- If two fighters shoot at each other in the same round, both will take a hit and lose 1HP
- No godmoding except by GM.
