Where now are the horse and rider? In here, probably.

My daughter (former Plazite EllaShieldmaid) and I had to do a round trip to Oxford today. The weather was awful on the 2 hour drive down, but cleared up nicely as we pulled into Wolvercote cemetery.

This isn't a picture of us, just a montage of a quick water themed homage to the Master.

I did used to be in Rohan, so feel somewhat entitled to post here - but especially because this particular photo features two other Riders (one in reality @Allafyrefleorhtlig , and one in metallic spirit form @Shivased) :smiley8: .

Circa 2009 or something - Alla you might have a better memory of dates than I do! Maaan my hair was long back then.

@Nia I think 2009 might be right, it was when the three of us and @Sovielus were working together a lot on the region project. I remember both our faces lighting up when we saw this!

I also finally figured out how to use Imgur and can share some of my Larp pictures.

I'll begin with my first ever LARP character Sinn; I got quite a lot of attention when I turned up like this, I can tell you. I can't for the life of me figure out why :smiley8:

The next one is my second LARP character Penelope, who talks with a Queen's English dialect and beats people up with a teapot! Yes, that is a LARP safe teapot.

And this one was when I was asked to play a big, bad, boss evil nightmare wizard for the 'pro' level game. Me against the whole field, with lots of awesome stats that made me a serious threat to some of them (as you can tell by their faces). I was absolutely terrified I was going to mess it up but I trusted the ref who asked me to do it and he knew my capabilities more than I did;. I'm glad I found the courage to do it because it was a LOT of fun!

(All group photos were taken from the club website so already available online, so no need for permissions to post).

@Aodh Hammerhelm I wonder what other people will make of the boat! Nice Tub tribute.

@Allafyrefleorhtlig I love that LARP-safe teapots exist! Even so I would not want to be whacked with it. Did you survive getting mobbed as an evil wizard? I hope you turned them all into newts.

@Nia I remember that! I still have that picture saved to a memory stick somewhere! I love it!

@Elarith It was a custom teapot and as unwieldy as the thing is, it’s a lot of fun bopping people with it. It makes a better buckler than a shield.

Here’s one I found of me in action with it!

Sadly I didn’t survive as the evil wizard but I wasn’t meant to. I went down with some impressive death screeches though (one reason I got the part - I can emote!)

@Veowyn your photo makes me feel super calm and safe! Love it!

Since I've been spending so much time here, I thought it appropriate to give you all a special look at my blue hair (oh how I miss you nix blue!) Hopefully none of your computers break because you've seen this.

@Frostbite,

Nice one, freond. It's good to see others sporting that unmistakable (if bluer!) Lockdown Hair Look.
I can report my computer has survived exposure to the pic

@Frostbite Ooh finally a face to connect with the name; very handsome! I can see where Frost gets his good looks from :smooch:

Some cosplay pics for people, from when my sister, best friend and I went to London Comic-Con to meet a certain group of voice actors. (My sister is the bear, my friend is in green and black and I am in blue)

Points for if anyone can name the cast and the characters being cosplayed (except Frost, because I KNOW he will get them all straight off the bat!)

@corlisswyn Love the mask! I’d love to find one with the Rohirric stylized horse head. In fact, I might just go search for one now!

Great! Echoes @Eléowyn's running horse thoughts. Have we not a seamstress/seamer on the Plaza? I'd die for a Gunslinger version... KA. Or Randall Flagg, he of the grinning chopped smile, out of the Stand

@Eléowyn the etsy shop I got this did have a Rohirrim mask, but I wasn't a fan of the color scheme. I was actually thinking of sending an alternate horse as a custom job.

@Aodh Hammerhelm do you have a symbol you'd like for the Gunslinger? I'm just curious what you'd like to see, or just have an Idris Elba on the side of your face? :)

@corlisswyn, If you Google KA there's a pretty neat black and white sigil. Not sure it would translate to a mask though...

@Eléowyn, Detail from Éowyn's Dernhelm helmet would make a good mask

New picture! I volunteer at a historic village set in 1914, and they have finally been allowed to open again, so I got my costume! The hat is AMAZING, it actually has a big black ostrich feather on it, and has a hat box to store it in! I have a hat that needs a hat box!
Also ignore my face. My mum took the pics and she does not do well with technology. "Touch the big white button" was almost too advanced for her technology abilities. I was in the middle of explaining for the 5th time how to switch the camera back to the right view.

Great hat, @Shivased, and dress too! That sounds like great fun. The face actually fits in with a photo from the time period. I don’t think they smiled much for photos then.

That looks brilliant! I've been very slack with getting reusable masks. We have loads of disposables on hand at work, but they're really impacting on the ecology!

Wearing a facemask before there was a wrong way to wear them. :googly:
Here's me dressed up as a troll and ready to go to a masquerade party at school in the early 90's.

This is me, around 5 years ago, also from when we wore masks for fun. This was originally a Zorro costume, but with a slight adaptation, it worked just as well for the Dread Pirate Roberts.

In these troubled, blue-masked times, I cry now to thee a pretty-sai, Sai Eléo. A black mask and leather trews wilst thou don, for the Hammerhelm down in the Entwash vale?
