Here is the thread where we remember all of our old plaza friends who have unfortunately passed away.
May they never be forgotten...

Maldir~ I always enjoyed our plotting and still laugh at some of the silly convos we had.
Bladeslinger ~ Although I didn't have a lot of personal interactions with him I always enjoyed reading his post with Enne. A minion with heart.
Both members of the Alarion family and missed dearly.

Maldir - quickly became my best friend. I still miss him every day. He would have loved the plaza being back, and he would be so proud of the accomplishments that so many of us have had over the years since the old site was active. and my heart yearns to read his writings and poetry again.
Bladeslinger - I only had a few mostly OOC interactions, but he was indeed a minion with heart, as Isolde put it.
There are a few others that I thought may have passed, but am not 100% sure, or don't remember their plaza name correctly, but they are missed and loved as well.

The first one I remember is a Rivendell elf, has to be about 2003ish. I think his real name was Jeffrey or Jeremy or something similiar. I think he had one of the unpronounceable names. His mom came in and told us, he was only 16 I think. Was really active in the Rivvy army, but unfortunately that was done off site so nothing is saved.
Grishnak was a hard blow as he was my first Mordor ruler, him and Uruloki used to scare me! They were always in character and I loved that :)
Halfir is of course a great loss, so much knowledge gone :(
Maldir rings a bell, but my s/o remembers him as he was supposed to officiate his royal wedding :(
My mom. She was only on here briefly, but she was the only one in my family who cared even a little about my passion for the Plaza

@Winddancer - that wouldn't be Rudhelion (possible incorrect spelling, definitely accents missing) would it - Rudh's name was Jeremy, he was 16 years old and passed away around that time (2003) - had been very active in the White Council as well. He was the one that started my wizard character licking toads!

Tari E, or Rhonda Watson. She was among the older plaza members with incredible patience to listen to all us teenagers, day after day on IM. She was old enough to be my mother, yet we were such good friends regardless of age difference, time zones etc.
She was always encouraging, thoughtful, considerate, though she struggled with illness and pain. She worked with troubled kids, from what I recall, and fostered some too. I don't think I ever met any on plaza who did so much for others, all the more impressive given her own challenges.
I wish I could have one conversation with her and show her who I have become, what I have done. She always made me feel that she believed in me, something few others have accomplished. I hope that I have done her proud.

Yes, agreed, @Aduchil . Tari was a mother figure to me, too, as a teenager. My own parents were less than exemplary, and she filled a hole.
Taurello Hyanda, as well. He was an elf of Lothlorien from the older days, perhaps 10-15 years older than me. He was active for a long time, and was friendly, creative, and dedicated. He had a heart transplant and myriad other problems, and they finally took him away years ago.He always posted in a forest green color, I remember.

I remember Taurello and I knew that he had passed, but I had forgotten after all these years and remembering just now hit me hard. Such a great dude.

I hadn't realised that Taurello and Tari E were gone! I remember many conversations with Tari. She was the first person on the plaza to welcome me in the Lawn of Lothlorien. And after that, she would always check up on me in the threads. Taurello was a Word Sleuth and Debate team mate. Sorry to hear they're gone.
