Old stuff revived?
I had a lot of Tolkien related verse and fiction on the old Plaza, some of which I think is safe somewhere in my devices! Is it acceptable to re-post them here for (hopefully) your enjoyment? And of course for howls of disapproval if that's how it takes you .....
I can only speak for myself (although I think others would agree with me) when I very enthusiastically say go for it. If your old writing doesn't make you cringe when you reread it
(mine does, I was a horrible writer and I can only hope I'm better now) I'd love to see it. Besides looking and reposting old work is a good way to see how far you've progressed
@Nessa Saelind well I could always do some editing! I just wondered if any decision had been made to stick to new works only. I will take your advice as a green light and try to dig out the best as soon as I have time :)
I'll second @Nessa Saelind here and say that if you're game then go for it. Folks have been talking a lot recently about the archive / cultural loss with Yahoo answers shutting down... So post! Post! Post! Preserve the past!
@Saranna - it’s wonderful some of your old content is safe! As someone who has posted old photos here, I say... doooo it!
@Saranna as far as I am aware there is no official policy that we need to post only new content.
Pease, post all of your old works you feel comfortable showing. A lot of things from the Old Plaza were lost, and it warms my little historian heart, to see things preserved and brought to light again.
@Saranna I would absolutely love to see your posts from old plaza! I only vaguely remember some of them so I would be happy to read them again. I know I've found a few of my own older writings (fanfic/prose wise) and am thinking about posting those again myself.
@Androthelm @Nessa Saelind @Tarawen @Fuin Elda Well with all these supporters I can hardly say no. Will look some things out starting next week.
Thanks everyone! It warms my old librarian's heart to make things available again, regardless of who made them
