Peep Peep the majestic eagle swooped into the thread, wait no, tree, carrying a egg very carefully in her talons. "Peep peep peep peep!" she proclaimed, setting it down with her other eggs, organizing them all just so in the enormous nest. "Peep peep," Peep Peep added, settling contentedly. At least for the moment. Until she went out to find more eggs.
(help why do I love scavenger hunts so much here's another one)

Peep Peep frowned. It was hard to tell, as eagles almost always look fierce and frowny, but she was frowning because she couldn't quite figure out how to arrange her eggs. Eagle nests were enormous, of course, but she didn't usually find herself with a clutch as large as this one. If she kept on, she'd have as many chicks as a common goose, the dumb fowl. Mmm...goose. "Peep peep, peep peep peep," Peep Peep sighed, contemplating lunch once she had figured out how to wedge this new egg in with the others.

Fleeg soon realized eating
this egg might have been a mistake. It was tasty and all, but it was bigger than the normal craban eggs he was used to. There was a sinking feeling as he felt the yolk drip off his chin he had pissed off an eagle somewhere.

Once again, Fleeg, the unthinking twerp that he was, scarfed down
another egg. Where were these eggs coming from? Was he being rewarded by some evil avian deity that he needed to make a sacrifice to? That was definitely it. But what to give to this unnamed, probably vulture, god (or goddess, Fleeg was not picky) as a sacrifice? He assumed they'd like one of Reg's alarm clocks. Off he went to steal from his CHa Osb Ro

"PEEP PEEP PEEP PEEEEEEEEP!" Peep Peep screamed as she saw a wild Fleeg scarfing down eggs. Precious eagle eggs! What on earth was that fool thinking? She sprang up from her nest and dove down on his head, screeching like the majestic beast she was, talons outstretched. "PEEEEEEEEEEEEP!" she shouted again for good measure, aiming for his jugular.
Found another one here, but the thread is locked so I can't post in it.

Fleeg screamed. That shouldn't be a surprise to anyone really. He dodge eagle with terrifying warcry and scrambled under a rock where he was sure he would be safe. That egg had only served to whet his appetite though, and screaming was hungry work. His stomach gurgled at the worst possible time. Oh look! Another
egg! His was saved from sure starvation! Now he could start formulating a plan to escape this monstrous demon bird thing.

Peep Peep dove like an arrow at the earth, opening her wings at the last moment to brake. She landed neatly, settling her wings on her back. "Peep peep?" she queried. "Peep! Peep peep squeakeakeakeakeak." She strode across the ground, her talons biting into the soil. She knew that creature was somewhere nearby. Spots of yolk colored the ground, fueling her rage.
"PEEP, PEEP PEEP PEEEEEEEEP," she cried, darting around a rock. Where was he? And what was this thing? Oh! Another egg. She made note of its location so she could retrieve it later and continued the search. Peep Peep hankered for the blood of Fleeg.

Fleeg had never heard a more terrifying sound. He never thought the sound of "peep peep" could fill him with such dread. Normally, the sound of his mother shouting his name at the top of her unnaturally loud voice could inspire such visions of death and doom. Was this eagle perhaps related to her? Or was it the eggs he kept eating raw? Either way, he found another
egg and scarfed it down before hiding further in the rock.

More egg yolk appeared before Peep Peep's exceptionally sharp eagle eyes. "PEEP PEEP!" she screamed. If Fleeg could see her eyes, he might have thought flames had appeared in their depths, so great was her rage. She stuck her head under the rock and thought she caught a glimpse of goblin. "PEEEEEEEEEEEP!" she yelled at the top of her lungs, shoving her head into the gap. She was so incensed she nearly missed another egg tucked against the rock. She would tear Fleeg to shreds, if only she could get to him.

Another egg! What were the odds? Had any eagles raised such a large brood before this? If Peep Peep wasn't careful, she'd end up looking like those stupid ducks that led dozens of stupid fluffy delicious ducklings around the pond. Peep Peep's stomach growled. If she couldn't have duck for lunch, maybe she could have some tasty tasty goblin. Probably goblin didn't taste as good as duck, but it would do in a pinch. "Peep peep peep," she said as she peered into the rock, a little less screamy than before. Even angry eagles got tired and hungry.

"Go Peep yourself!" Fleeg shouted from the relative safety of his rock. He was proud of himself for that insult. He shouldn't have been, it was very low hanging fruit, but his head was swirling from all the eggs he'd eaten. There was something in these eggs, wasn't there? Fleeg might have found his new favorite drug! This was waaaaay stronger than licking toads. Oh look, another
egg!

"PEEP PEEP YOUR PEEPING PEEP PEEP SELF AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR PEEP PEEP!" Peep Peep screamed back, discovering the power of speech beyond peeps and meeps and squeaks. Her sentence needed no translation, as indeed it would not have been entirely appropriate for ears of all ages. Clearly she needed another strategy. Peep Peep turned around, aiming her backside at the hole Fleeg had pulled himself through, and let her rear end peeps fly. The fishy smell certainly didn't bother her, as eagles couldn't smell anyway, but she could guess it would be rather unpleasant for anyone with a nose as pointy as Fleeg's.
What was this? Another egg?

"Oh Peep off, you Peeping Peep, and while you're at it, Peep the Peep and then Peep your Peep with your own Peep!" Fleeg had no idea what he was saying, but it felt good to say. So good that he found another
egg and down the hatch it went

"Peep peep," Peep Peep chirped wearily. This egg finding business was hard work, and this Fleeg hunting business was no picnic either. Now she had yet another egg, and all of these needed to be arranged neatly in the nest, where wily goblin hands could not filch them. She gathered her found eggs and flew off for a bit of a rest, leaving one last, erm, deposit in the hole where she knew the goblin was hiding.

Fleeg was safe for the moment, if not blocked in by the excessive amount of eagle poo. He had only one way to go, further down the hole that turned out to be a tunnel, a tunnel practically littered with his new favorite drug of choice. More
eggs!
Thread is locked, elsewise I'd post in there and cause mayhem

Peep Peep arose from her nest, checked to make sure all her found eggs were safe, and stretched her wings, flying down to the ground to continue her search. Where were all these eggs coming from anyway? And where was that vile goblin? Wait, another egg! She scooped it up and returned it to the nest before flying down to investigate the tunnel where she knew he was hiding. "Peep?" she queried, her voice echoing down into the empty space.

Yet another egg? Such luck! This one was tucked under the edge of the rock where Peep Peep had given up the search the night before. In fact, she noticed as she ducked her head under the rock to investigate that the tunnel was quite large. Hunching her shoulders, Peep Peep stalked into the tunnel, safely hiding the egg away for later retrieval. That goblin would pay for his evil habits. For once Peep Peep did not let out a peep peep, trying her best to creep down the tunnel as quietly as possible.

Well, this tunnel led to some wild places, Fleeg could have sworn he was just in Minas Tirith, but not Minas Tirith... maybe? Oh look another
egg, just what Fleeg needed to help him on his journey toward... wherever this battle with Peep Peep was going

Fleeg was certain he'd eaten enough
eggs at this point to qualify as a beginner Gaston, not that he wouldn't punch that asshole in the mouth if he ever got the chance. Not only was he stupid handsome, he was stupid, and a human. Where was this going again?

This had to be a trap right? This latest
egg was just sitting there out in the open. Fleeg wanted to eat it, but he was terrified it might be a Peep Peep trap. She was a devious one, that Peep Peep. Forget Reg, his greatest foe in all the world was Peep Peep! He needed to find a way to corrupt her and bring her to Mordor to be his new ChaO S B Ro

"Another!" Fleeg shouted as he threw the latest
egg on the floor the way he'd seen it in that movie about the blonde Australian viking god man. Peep Peep would be very annoyed with him, but Peep Peep was already going to tie him up Prometheus style and eat his liver every day at this point so it wasn't like it was going to be that bad. Right?

Should Fleeg start learning how to cook
eggs? At this point, he probably should. If Peep Peep ever let him out of tunnel that is

The race was over but the potential for Wing Racing was very intriguing .
Dragon Egg.
Aiwe was a small eaglet but when she was older, her wing span would be as wide as her mothers. She dreamed that one day she would be a great racer and that she would win all the races. For now though, she liked eating pieces of meat and watching the clouds roll by from here comfy

This tunnel wasn't quite a tunnel, it was a portal! Not that Fleeg understood what portals were. He was also sleep deprived and starving (it had been at least six hours) since he'd found his last
egg. The sooner he knew Peep Peep was going, the sooner he could make a break for it and find some breakfast

Aiwe liked her name. She could not imagine being called, Belle, Birdy or Beatrice! Some of her fellow kin had strange names like, Beak and Talon and Igor. She like
Aiwe! It was a sweet name that suited her sweet personality. It also sounded pleasant when mother called her name. Aiweeeeeeee......

Well, well, well how the turntables...
Fleeg lost his train of thought, something he was very prone to do (also with prunes). He was hiding from Peep Peep, though he was sure that he was at least beginning to come near to matching her and soon would be able to unveil himself as Fleeg the Egg Thief! For now though, he would simply tuck this
egg away and snack on it later.

None of the calls she had heard from other birds interested
Aiwe. Trilling, tweeting, warbling and cheeping all sounded a little loony to her. Yes, she chirped and peeped when she was fist hatched. But now, she was four weeks old and she could ,
ki-ki-ki-ki-ki-ki-ker, just like her Momma. It made her proud. Next, she would fly!

Elanor was a pretty name. When
Aiwe grew older and had Eaglets of her own, she would rememberr this name and maybe even choose it for her own daughter. Alas, that was in the future and she would have to learn how to fly first. She hoped the fly lessons would start soon.

Five eggs. That monster Fleeg had found five eggs. Peep Peep could tell because she had wedged herself into the tunnel and started finding egg shells left and right, with remnants of yolk spilled in the dirt. "YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS PEEP PEEPING ATROCITY!" she screamed, stalking through the cramped space like the feathered dinosaur she was. At least there was one more egg she could keep safe.

Another egg! Peep Peep nestled it safely to one side and stalked on down the tunnel. She kept as quiet as she could, but her feet echoed in the small space and her feathers rustled. Where was she, anyway? This tunnel went on forever, to some weird places. What was a MorPix anyway? Or an influencer? Eagles have no influencers. Eagles need no influencers.

Peep Peep walked down the tunnel, wishing she could extend her wings. It certainly was a long tunnel, leading past pictures of elves and dwarves and Men, none of which mattered to her. Only catching the goblin. Peep Peep could only stay quiet so long; eagles weren't meant to be this sneaky. "PEEP PEEP PEEP PEEP PEEPING PEEPER PEEPS!" she screamed, letting Fleeg translate the vile insult and tremble with fear. Ooh! Another egg!

She could barely believe her luck! This egg had been left practically in Fleeg's own hands, in some strange place that should clearly have been called Peepoween Town. Peep Peep snatched it up. She thought she could hear the goblin now, probably running for his life. No matter. She would catch him. "YOU CAN'T PEEP BUT YOU CAN PEEP!" Peep Peep yelled. Hmm. Perhaps that particular insult didn't translate.

Peepoween Town was a puzzling place, but Peep Peep understood the forests of Fangorn, even when they hid their eggs in riddles. "PEEP A RIDDLE FOR PEEPING FLEEG!" Peep Peep screamed down the tunnel. "I'LL PEEP YOU UP IF YOU PEEP AGAIN! YOU'LL PEEP YOU'D NEVER PEEPED WITH ME! PEEEEEEEEP!"

shire! shire shire shire! Fleeg was in trouble. Big trouble. He was stuck in this blasted tunnel and Peep Peep was closing in... perhaps he could offer her an alliance? He would offer this newest
egg as a peace offering. Otherwise he was doomed.
Re: The Great Egg Hunt

by Menolly
Peep Peep considered the offering. She reached out to take the egg and save it from Fleeg's clutches, tucking it safely away with another egg she had found in Aiwe's domain. Once she had it in hand wing, she fixed her sharp eyes on Fleeg and attempted to smile. This looked quite terrifying, as eagles are incapable of smiling, and as Peep Peep wasn't actually smiling anyway.
"RUN FOR YOUR PEEPING LIFE YOU PEEPING PEEPER PEEPERTON!" she screamed in Fleeg's face. There was no alliance. There was no forgiveness. There was only goblin blood. But perhaps she could make him feel deeper fear before she ripped out his entrails.
Edit: oops I see now Drifa found that egg earlier. Going to leave that post though, better figure out what to do next @Call of Bearthulhu !

Eagle but also I made the website
"Krii, ki, krir!" That is me singing happily! Especially today! Why today, you may ask? Well because, today all those birds that go about strutting, gobbling, puffing out their chests, and fanning their tails, are roasting in their own juices! I guess that is why they're called turkeys, haha!

Aiwe was not sure what a turkey was or what roasting in their own juices meant. She was just repeating what she had overheard her father say. He had laughed with his friends, which made her happy, and so she had laughed too. Someday, when she was older, she hoped she could talk about turkeys and make others laugh just like her Daddy did.
